Perfect spot for an afternoon picnic... Drive through the hill to reach here... There is a designated parking... Have a restaurant and few store close by...
Go down the stairs to the river bed and sit on a rock... So calming ...
I have been here during monsoon... The current was strong... One need to be causious while moving close to the fall...

Do not miss to visit the dam up river while you visit.

I was almost alone in this place. The trip was adventurous and I could go and touch the waterfalls. It's heavey and dangerous. The rocks around are slippwry and if one go down you will go to the underwater caves which are really deep and no one could arrange the escape. But worth enjoying the view from far. There are steps to go down to the bottom of the falls and it looks like a beach on the hilltop

Perunthenaruvi water falls is located in vechoochira ranni. its 20km long from ranni town. the road is good condition and less traffic. its a rural village area. the perunthenaruvi water falls is natural waterfall and dam irrigation also located in the area. the dam is small in size and electricity production also approximate 3kw. parking also available in the entrance. hotel. juice shop, resort also available in the entrance. its good for families.

Good spot to enjoy the beauty of nature (from a safe distance though). The current is very strong and the rapids are unforgiving. The visual spectacle of the waterfall is unreal. Keep a distance and enjoy. Do not forget to visit the dam just upstream.

Perunthenaruvi is a waterfall located 35 km from Pathanamthitta in Central Thiruvithamkur, Kerala.
It is a major tourist destination in Pathanamthitta district. This waterfall is located on Perunthenaruvi, a tributary of Pampanadi in the mountains of Western Ghats. Panamkuduntha Aruvi and Naveenaaruvi also exist in Pampanadhi a little above Peruntenaruvi
Perunthenaruvi can be reached via Kottayam, Erumeli, Mukututhara, Chatanthara, and Thiruvalla, Pathanamthitta, Ranni, Vechuchira Navodaya School Junction. The myth associated with the stories of Shaktanvelan is described in the book 'Pampanadi - Environment, Culture, Management' published by DC Books under the title 'Perunthenaruvi A Mythological Reading'.
Perunthenaruvi is in Vechuchira Gram Panchayat in Ranni Taluk of Pathanamthitta District. Many tourists visit this place. For those who are not familiar with it, there is a possibility of very danger here. Construction work is going on here for tourists under the Kerala Tourism Department. It is also used as a water source for supplying clean water to the people of Vechuchira and nearby panchayats.

It's the first time we visited this waterfall...which is situated near the perunthenaruvi dam...... Can't belive our eyes.. Because we never expect such a beautiful small waterfalls inside that village...main attractions are the big rocks... Which nurture the beauty of this tiny waterfalls... Care must taken because The rocks are slippery and it stagnate water like a small pond... But which is quite deeper than what we think...so be careful.... Swimming and Bathing are not allowed over there... Because it is highly dangerous.... The place is quite calm and beautiful... Require more tourist attractions over there..... Kerala government must take care for the development of this waterfalls more seriously....

A good place to spend quality time with friends and family members. The placed felt very unexplored (maybe cause I went on a working day).
Try visiting either during morning or during evening otherwise you might get the feel of harsh sunlight.

We visited here today, in the noon.. 🤩🤩🤩
The way to this waterfall is rich with trees n brooks.. We could see a number of brooks as we pass by. It was also a pucca road and kind of hairpins... 🛣 You may feel little dizzy.. 😵

The waterfall is so enthralling ✨
Since there were rain for the past few days, the water flow was sublime.. 🤗

The beauty of the waterfall depends on the climate! So, it is good if you visit during the rainy season.. ( But keep in mind, the water maybe at a great force n pace. )

📸We can have great photography section.
👫We can also spend time by sitting up on the rocks enjoying the fresh water fall by.. . ( It highly depends on the climate)
There is no food stall nearby (inside the premise) whereas a small shop is located on the entrance.. 😔

Moreover, caution ⚠ signs are placed on different parts stating " Don't dare to swim 🏊 or jumb into the water.."

It is unpredictable to say when and how the water level get rise..
So be aware of where you are!

Do visit if you wish to take a break from your hectic work schedule.. 😁

Enjoy nature 🦋
Destroy not. 👋

🔴NB: Don't go for adventures if you wishes to visit this or any other tourist spot again!! 😐

The pics taken are in October. Water level is not high hence it's an option to get into water for a swim. Lovely place. Scenic beauty. Peaceful. Accessible (not very much for elderly). Must visit place.

Just 12Km away from town Ranni. Situated on river pamba is known for its wider area rather than its height, Nearest railway station is thiruvalla . There are so many myths surrounding the waterfalls , be always careful while visiting
