The temple is a dedication to the Lord Vishnu, incarnation Lord Rangji. It is believed that the temple was commissioned in 1823 by Seth Puran Mal Ganeriwal who was from Hyderabad. There are idols of other gods as well in the temple such as those of Goddamaji, Goddess Laxmi, Lord Krishna and Shri Ramanujacharya. Photography i not allowed inside the temple. Built in 1844, the Ranganath Temple is a unique mixture of Dravidian and Nagara style.
No charges for entry and photography is allowed within the complex but not of the deities.
