On our way to Munnar from Kochi, we stopped at this beautiful waterfall that is small, but arrests one’s attention. In the rainy season, there is more water, making it a sight to behold!

My journey to Nayamakad Waterfall in Munnar was a captivating escape into nature's embrace. The winding roads through the tea plantations added a touch of adventure to the trip. As I approached the waterfall, the sound of cascading water grew louder, and the mist in the air hinted at the marvel awaiting me.

Upon reaching the falls, I was greeted by a breathtaking sight. The water tumbled down gracefully, surrounded by lush greenery that seemed untouched by time. The cool mist enveloped me, refreshing both my body and soul. I couldn't resist dipping my fingers into the crystal-clear waters, feeling the connection to the pure beauty of nature.

The tranquility of the place was punctuated by the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves, creating a symphony of serenity. I sat by the waterfall, lost in thought, as if time had stood still. It was a moment of pure bliss.

Nayamakad Waterfall in Munnar, with its pristine charm and tranquil aura, left an indelible mark on my heart. It was more than a travel experience; it was a journey into the soul of nature itself, a memory I'll forever cherish

Just follow the map to reach this place. Parking will be a challenge as there is no dedicated parking space available. Be careful where you park. Entry fee was rs50 and its worth. Carry extra pair of dresses if you are planning to take bath or play in water. I visited in April and there was plenty of water. Water was very cold though I visited in the evening. It will be better if visited in the evening otherwise water will be very cold. It wasnt crowded when I visited.

Its not very deep so everyone can play in water and the water was very clean. we spent around 2 hours there. Carry drinking water as you cant buy water inside the premise and you cannot go outside for buying things once you enter the waterfall.

Guard will be taking care of the security so the place is safe for everyone. Restrooms and dress changing area are available.

Hard to access due to rocks. But the risk never goes in vein. Amazing location. Not allowed to take bath in the falls due to slippery rocks and high density water falls. A danger sign is also placed. You have zip line too and you can enjoy an amazing adventure here.

Unlike its name. Water was not there on the month of june. But this place is not worth missing even then. Of you see the pictures you will come across a very old bridge which leads to a completely hidden forbidden town across which might not be accessible when the gushing waters of the fall is there. Do visit. Cross the bridge. Meet the humble people across the bridge as they offer a very satisfying tea and smile. 😊 see the pictures that i have uploaded for reference.

Nestled amidst rolling hills and veiled in a tapestry of lush greenery, the hill station unveils a breathtaking panorama that captivates the senses. As the first rays of dawn gently caress the landscape, the velvety mist begins to unveil a masterpiece painted by nature. The air is crisp, infused with the invigorating fragrance of pine trees that stand like sentinels, their needles glistening with morning dew.

The undulating hills seem to cradle quaint cottages, their roofs adorned with a mosaic of vibrant flowers. A meandering path, lined with wildflowers in a riot of colors, invites wanderers to embark on a journey of discovery. The distant melody of a mountain stream adds a symphonic touch to the tranquil ambiance, creating a soothing soundtrack to the visual spectacle.

As the day progresses, the hills unfold their verdant carpet, showcasing a kaleidoscope of hues. Layers of emerald green merge seamlessly with azure skies, creating a vista that seems to stretch into infinity. In the afternoon, the sun bathes the landscape in a warm glow, casting long shadows that dance playfully across the meadows.

As evening descends, the hills don a cloak of serenity. The setting sun paints the sky in strokes of pink and orange, casting a soft glow on the landscape. The twinkling lights of the hillside dwellings flicker like fireflies, adding a touch of magic to the scene. The cool night air carries the scent of earth and whispers secrets of the ancient mountains, inviting contemplation under the canvas of a star-studded sky.

In this symphony of nature, the hill station view becomes a timeless tableau, a sanctuary for weary souls seeking solace in the embrace of the mountains.
