Maadathil Cottages

This was a beautiful stay about 20 minutes walking distance from North cliff area. I liked that the cottages were situated in a quiet area away from the party scene and crowds where I could truly relax and unwind. The hotel manager was very helpful accommodating all of my requests and helping me to find things I needed in the town. Breakfast was delicious and staff were very nice. 10/10 experience. By the way, their Hello to the Queen dessert was absolutely phenomenal.

The hotel's administration has been extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is lovely. We loved the hotel's beauty, the delicious meals, and the wonderful people we met. Would love to return with family and friends. Thank you for your service.

It is a beautiful property located a few meters from the sea. Rooms are overlooking the sea, and we can hear the sounds of waves crashing. Excellent service, courteous staff, and good food. I have visited for a calm vacation alongside the beach (the off-season) at a clean place with good service, and that’s what I have experienced.

We spontaneously came to Maadathil Cottage and found it to be a truly great accommodation. Both the rooms as well as the service were superb and worth every penny. It was very clean and we felt quite comfortable.
Especially Karthik was very helpful and offered a great service for all our questions and wishes.
The food in the restaurant was also quite good with a more than reasonable price.
I can truly recommend this place to anybody who wants to have a relaxing and comfortable stay in Varkala.

It was awesome stay in varkala. We stayed for 3 days all the amenities are very good and well maintained cottages and it has beautiful sea view from the cottage itself.
Foods taste was good and staff's also very friendly. I'm highly recommending this cottage for your vacation.. 😊😊

This is the best place to be if you are visiting Kerala.
Non crowded and peaceful with good privacy and unmatchable hospitality.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights We would definitely come back again. The staff is very friendly and accommodating (the team does a great job) there's a pleasant atmosphere, the restaurant has a wide selection of good food. The juices in a wide variety of flavours are great. The cottages are very clean, spacious and well air-conditioned. The beach is quiet and clean. In the morning you can watch fishermen at work on the beach. And we can recommend our friends and family members to stay in maadathil cottages when they are planning to visit varkala for vacation....

Lovely place and a very friendly staff.
I was with a friend for 3 days at this beautiful place in April and we had a very good time. The staff was very accommodating especially Abhijeet and ensured that we had a pleasant and safe stay.

Genuine Management and staff, I had to cancel my booking at a very late moment (late evening on check in date). But without any hesitation the management agreed to refund full advance paid. Well appreciated 👍

Except food everything is Adipoli here.... You will enjoy a Goa like feel in the cottage.... Their Hospitality is good.... They take care of you well. Didn't roam much varkala in 2 days.... Spent most of the time in cottage and the splendid beautiful beach near it. Thank you for a memorable trip. Also please build a swimming pool soon, it will be an adding advantage

Maadathil Cottages was the most relaxing friendly place we have been to in India. The staff are awesome, the staff who run the property are passionate about making their guests welcome, comfortable, valued and nothing was too much trouble The restaurant staff were superb who made our stay a real culinary experience always telling us what the Indian breakfast was, in addition to the set choices.Air con very efficient and we were asked every day if we wanted our cottage cleaned or a linen change.
The cottage was perfectly positioned on the beachfront and met all our needs.
The beach is lovely though the sea was a bit rough for us to swim in. Nice walk to the cliff where are many shops and restaurants we ate there a couple of times and a tuk tuk back via the government booze shop where prices are good.
Taxi transfers and tukscooter rental all arranged by Aslam who again was very helpful in all we asked for

Location is unbeatable, just adjacent to a very quiet (almost private) beach. It's a 25 min walk to the main cliff area, or they can call you an autorickshaw. Grounds are nice, service is lovely, food is good, and rooms are clean and comfortable.

Great accommodation! Cottages are large and stylish, with everything you need. Very good breakfast with several food options. A particular mention to the staff, always ready to make you happy. Location is wonderful: you are in a secluded beach but just 20 minutes walking from the beginning of the cliff of Varkala. Very good for couples or small groups.

The view from the cottage is quite mesmerising. Cottages were in good condition and staffs were very friendly.

One of the finer places we have been to in Kerala. The beach side cottages are tucked away in a wonderful place right on Odeyam beach and are a real treat to the eye. We were a bunch of 4 friends and the family rooms on the 1st floor were just the perfect pick for our stay. The view is breathtakingly beautiful and the sea rings in your years all day long. The food also is pretty fine and they have quite a spread for the differing palettes with continental and regional options.
The only complaint I have with the place is for the staff to be a bit more accommodating with their guests. They need to be trained a bit more as to how they can service and behave with guests in a better manner. If this is fixed, everything else works like a charm.
Also, they need to do something about parking for cars as well, since the sun is not too kind and there is not even a shelter to park the vehicles.
