Absolutely recommended.
Its easy to pass by on road, but a must see.
The place provides such a calm feel. Its a steep climb to the top and lots of open plain areas at the top.
Best for all time during the day.
Be careful on the way down, as the pine leaves cluster are slippery.

We were on our way to kuttikkanam and saw this place .

It is so peaceful, loved the ambience and you could spend a lot of time there to enjoy and experience the calmness of the area.
Here you can feel the nature with the surroundings full of pine trees and hilly landscapes...
Beautiful place for photoshoot and spending time with family or friends

On the way to Thekkady, we visited Pine forest. Nice place to spend some time. Very different experience

You can walk through pine forest only there is no activity more than that...

It was a nice experience to go there and sit there idly in the pine forest...it's not a famous spot so there is only few people so u can relax there without any disturbance.

Place is situated in kuttikanam... beautiful spot..difficult to park the vehicle as it is near to the main road...lot of pine trees..the trees provide a cold and chilly atmosphere ..visit there during the winter times for best climate...monsoon is also a great time to visit if you donot have a issue in getting wet due to rain..

Not so crowded, family friendly ,and couple friendly. beware of blood sucking leeches , especially in the rainy season . Take some salt or a lighter with you to get rid of these leeches.

Nature friendly, couple friendly, quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Not many people discovered this place . Calm place. Must visit spot.......

One of the main attraction in Kumali to Kuttikanam road. Vehicle parking will be difficult due to the curvy roads. A good local tea shop is nearby with snacks. Good stop for some relaxation and refreshments. Pine forest is located uphill, a small hiking is required to reach through pine forest. Gripped footwears are better here, because when you return from the top there is most chance of slipping.
