Dhanas Lake

Dhanas Lake is situated in beautiful city Chandigarh. Lake is situated in near Sector-38. Dhanas is kown as its beautful view, lake, Forest, flora & fauna. Really this is the real charming place in Chandigarh. Along with it you can see Chandigarh Botanical Garden.
Many species of deer can also be seen around the lake. Different species of animals and birds also camp here throughout the year. It is nearby Panjab University, Chandigarh, PGI and Naya Gaon.
You can make your journey even more amazing by coming to Chandigarh and experiencing this lake.

Perfect small lake for calm peaceful wall. Lot of peacocks in nearby forest, lake is filled with ducks, fish, turtles. Good place for bird watching

Love it. Well maintained. Ducks, turtles and koi fishes in lakes. We visit in early morning. Lot of seating available. Parking also available small one. So relaxing place.

Dhanas lake is not famous as Sukhna lake but the experience of this lake is quite good. this is your best picnic spot outside Chandigarh. there is a walking path all around the lake and here you can sit and enjoy the beauty of nature, it is full of greenery and different kind of flower all around which smells very good and also listen here to birds chirping, In the water, ducks swim with their groups, some birds are flying over the lake and there were very few fishes. basically, the lake is divided into two parts by a walking path. there are the floating solar power plant and fountains which attracts tourists more. this is also the best place to shoot short movies and youtube videos because it is far away from the crowd and very peaceful.

The road was very dirty 1-2km before the lake, very polluted, and there was a very dirty smell all around. there was no food, parking, and other facilities on the lake.

If you are interested to visit this lake carry your own food and other stuff. this is not a big lake like Sukhna and other lakes so 1-2 hours are sufficient to explore this lake.
In my experience, the best time to visit Dhanas lake is monsoon because in this season it is full of greenery and lots of water inside and you can come in the evening time to get the best possible view. well, you can come here anytime to find natural beauty and silence.

Visit this place if you need to calm yourself.. good and natural environment in this place.

Beautiful lake, divided into two parts. Great of morning & evening walks. Peace of mind 😌 one can get addicted to it. Adjoining dhanas forest, so there is a beautiful view of the forest covering two sides of the lake.

Beautiful, calm, serene and lovely place.

Great place for family outings. Most peaceful and friendly space to experience bird watching in nature besides the pound. Everyone should hang out here to spend quality time with their loved ones. It is not very crowded and close to Panjab University.
