One Tree Hill Point in Matheran offers a wonderful trekking experience, especially during the monsoon. The trail is lush and scenic, with misty views enhancing the charm. The climb is moderate, making it enjoyable for most, and the reward at the top is stunning. A must-visit for nature lovers!

one of the beautiful treks in Matheran. Start early for sunrise and make sure to keep eye on the edges as the valley towards the hill is deep.. also pretty safe provided you are not the one who focuses on camera. Further if you hike down you will reach ambevadi village and locals use this route for their daily commute..dont take horse ride- rather trek

A super sight seeing point of Matheran.
It's a long Trek from the market place.so better to go on horseback.
On way one can see the deserted bungalow of the Tata's.
Better to reach in the early part of morning or during sunset.
Locals tell that the one tree 🌴 on the hill was destroyed because of lightning ⚡
No. Food 🥑 joints at this point 👉
No proper display boards.
No wash room facilities.

Instead of riding a horse, we trekked for 5 km to reach One Tree hill and it was worth the experience. The path to the tree was a bit challenging but the view and the feeling after reaching that place was amazing. We started early in the morning around 6 so there was no one in the place except us. But during our time of return to the hotel around 9-10 we started seeing groups around that place. So if you want to just sit and enjoy the place, visit early.

Visited One Tree Hill Point on July 02, 2023 at Matheran through trek from base village but could not climb on last point which is called one tree hill being slippery and foggy. It's quite risky in monsoon so everyone should avoid climbing the last point. Views are amazing and has waterfalls while descending from old British route.

One of the best place that I have ever experienced, If you are really travelling to this place I would suggest don't go with those horse, travel this place by walking. Best time to visit is in the morning around 6:30-7:00 when sunrise. I started my trek in the morning around 4:30-5:00. It took around 1-1.5 hrs to reach there from matheran railway station.
Feel the place when No one is there, Experience the fresh Air, sun rise with a bird sound melody.
I visited this place in the first week of September 2021.
I'll say its a Heaven !

A single tree standing on the tip of a beautiful green mountain and the dense forests in the backdrop, surrounded by enormous natural beauty, One Tree Hill Point is one of the best places to visit in Matheran to lose yourself to nature.

The wide ranges offering the variety of green shades is a sight to stand and stare. The amount of purity this place has soothes your eyes and rejuvenates your body and mind. All your anxieties, stress and worries are taken away from you in a moment when you reach, breath in the fresh air and take a look at the panoramic views this place provides.

It was an amazing experience, especially because of monsoon. The trek was pretty smooth along with jungle patches in between totally covered with trees.
Can recommend this trek to begginers also.
Only difficult part arrives in the end where we were supposed to find a trail ourselfs along the rocky part which was tricky also due to heavy rains and clouds. The trek ends up at Matheran.

This place is recently upgraded and now has steps and seats. The sun set and lake view is soothing. The local horse-riders donot cover these points under the 5-point or 7-point scheme. It’s best to take walks, it’s 2 kms one way walk from Matheran market. We returned around 8 in night, the road is fairly safe and lit. Actually when visiting on a horse back , the halt time does not allow you to sit or enjoy the view offered.

If you are a fan of one day hike.. this one should be on your list. The trek starts from Ambewadi, Karjat and ends at a one tree hill point in Matheran(there is only one tree on that hillock adjacent to the viewing point).
To reach the base village you need to get down at Karjat of coming by railways, if by road you can drive all the way to Ambewadi.
From Karjat Station, you get auto /six seaters charging anywhere from 300 to 500 one way. But we opted for the state transport bus which charged us mere Rupees 15 to get at Baba Dairy.
From there we walked till the base village which was approx 8kms, this walk was superb as the road are edged alongside the dam with beautiful picturesque spots which were drawing us in awe the whole time. From the base village it's straight hike upwards the hill front of you.. a simple yet straineous towards the end (beware of the slippery rocks). As you reach the top, the waterfall gushing down and valley in front you overlooking the water dam with all the shades of monsoon. Take my word It's breathtaking..
A must go.. live it..

Lovely and easy trek, two small patches are lil difficult for new trekkers. once you go on top you will be with clouds⛈🌧🌦. it takes almost 1 hour to go up from base village🏞. advisable to wear shoes with good grip.

We started our trek from Katvan Village and climbed till Alexander Point of Matheran, it was little bit tough route and it took almost 3:30mins to reach at Alexander Point. We had our lunch at Big Chok Point (it feels like we were seated in 5star Hill Top Mountain View Hotel). We went to One Tree Hill Point and climbed down via rock ways and water fall. It was awesome experience during mansoon season.

Matheran's best tracking point is located near the market. It's a great path to take and an experience you won't want to miss, especially during monsoon season. This points offers an incredible view that you won't want to miss. For safety reasons, please don't track this point solo

One tree hill was an amazing hike. Getting to the top of the hill requires some almost vertical climbing too and it was delight.

One tree hill point is in matheran hills. There is a lone tree standing on a hill. This hill separate from others with a pass. Anyone can climb if he has done tracking before. Either its risky to climb.
