Hólmavík

We read some pretty bad reviews about this but came here anyway and have to say that we had a totally different experience. Great views. Location next to grocery and petrol station is great. Plenty of space and the facilities are great! Heated bathrooms?!

Nice campground with a beautiful view to the see and the Holmavik harbour. The facilities include toilets, a playground, a grill and even a washing line. There are also showers and washing machines available in the sport centre to which the campground belongs (during its opening hours and at extra charge). The charge is to be paid in the sport centre. The camp warden stops by in case you arrive out of business hours. I don't understand the few negative comments here - there are not many toilets, but considering that we were alone on the lower camp ground, it was plenty. The facilities are very clean and well kept. The camp spots are sheltered from wind by a few hills and if you really need a shower you can get one in the sport centre. After a very quite night we enjoyed swimming a few lines in the sport centre's heated swimming pools and hot pots. The sport centre serves some really good coffee, too.

Marvelous little town at the entrance to the westfjords. A must visit are the Witchcraft museum and café Riis. Ask for the beer directly brewed in Hólmavík, it's fantastic!

We loved Hólmavík though perhaps the weather had something to do with it. Beautiful town with good facilities to start exploring the Westfjords.

Haven’t been but the only way to get this of my newsfeed is to comment. But giving that Hólmavík is awesome the campsite is probably great.

A beautiful and picturesque place. We were there in the campsite and we had everything we needed.

Gorgeous small city with picturesque houses by the harbor and a good infrastructure for travelers.

Ich gebe dem Platz 5 Sterne, weil er sehr schön gelegen ist, sehr saubere warme Toilettenhäuschen mit 3 WC, eine sehr grosse. Davon gab es zwei Häuschen, mehrere Stellen für Trennabfall. Zwei abgedeckt Grillplätze gesehen genügend grosse Tische mit Bänken und jeweils Spülstellen auch abgedeckt bei den Toiletten. Direkt daneben ein tolles Schwimmbad, wo man in Ruhe Duschen und im Hotpot liegen kann. Verstehe hier due schlechten Bewertungen nicht. Habe für 1 Person im Minicamper mit Schwimmbad 2300 Kronen gezahlt.

Je vous recommande le tout petit camping non référencé Hveravik (lieu-dit) face à Holmavik à environ 8 km avant Drangsnes. Dans un étroit virage, deux bâtiments, une petite pancarte et des vapeurs d’eau chaude se dégagent librement.
A l’abri du vent, belle pelouse, cuisine super équipée, sdb tout confort, grande salle de repos/ repas et … une piscine d’eau géothermale.
2500 Kr par personne (électricité non comprise).

Village très agréable avec bain d'eau chaude, l'environnement immédiat est parfait. Petit camping propre et à l'abri du vent, profitez bien !

C'est loin d'être le meilleur camping mais vu sa localisation, nous étions très heureux qu'il existe avec ma compagne.

Unbedingt Whale-watching mit Láki Tours machen. Kurze Fahrt in den Fjord und 30 Minuten später sieht man Wale ohne Ende!

Fantastiskt. För folk som gillar Norden och vet att det kan bli kalt även i sommar...

Nette Anlage. In Kombination mit dem angeschlossen Bad alles prima.
