It was a very nice atmosphere and we felt home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place is also very nice for kids, at the pool we spent a lot of hours. Just maybe the lunch (snack) menu could offer some more. But in general we were very happy with our choice. Last but not least, we would like to thank to Guilia and Massimo for their great service during the meal times.

Wonderful and relaxing hotel. Very scenic, peaceful and tranquil. The best breakfast we’ve had on a two week trip around Italy. Such fresh food, with an incredible fancy restaurant in the hotel. The pool is lovely, and the seats around the pool so cozy. Great bar and bar food. Lovely service and wonderful and rustic rooms. Highly recommend if you want a chilled and rustic experience.

Exceptional Service, But Room Maintenance Could Be Improved

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Borgo San Luigi, and while the service provided was truly outstanding, I must admit that there were a few issues with the room's maintenance that need attention.

From the moment we stepped foot into the hotel, we were greeted by warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the staff. They were attentive, courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. Whether it was the concierge assisting with dinner reservations or the waiters promptly attending to our requests, the service throughout our stay was truly exceptional. The hotel staff made us feel valued, and their attention to detail was second to none.

(Massimo and Johnny were our personal favorites. Their attentiveness deserves only the highest of praise.)

However, upon entering our room, we couldn't help but notice a few maintenance issues. While the overall cleanliness was satisfactory, there were signs of wear and tear that were somewhat disappointing. Our bathtub plug didn't work and didn't drain, and there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom when we arrived. Our mini bar fridge didn't cool either.

Despite these minor concerns, the hotel's service continued to shine throughout our stay and the outdoor areas served Tuscan charm at its finest.

Beyond the exceptional service, the hotel had a wide array of amenities that further enhanced our experience. The dining options were diverse and provided a delightful culinary journey with a range of delectable dishes. Breakfast was plentiful with the fluffiest scrambled eggs and best cappuccino in Italy, and dinner exceeded our expectations with high-quality ingredients.

In conclusion, while the room maintenance issues were noticeable, the outstanding service provided by the hotel staff more than made up for it. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine care made our stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend Borgo San Luigi to anyone seeking impeccable service and a luxurious experience, with the hope that the room maintenance will be given the attention it deserves in the future.

Our stay at Borgo San Luigi was exceptional - truly a 5-star experience! The hotel exudes charm, and the staff consistently went above and beyond, treating every guest with utmost respect and enthusiasm. The location was an excellent base to explore the vineyards and sights between Florence and Siena. Every meal was a culinary delight, and our 4-day stay felt like a rejuvenating 2-week vacation. We can't wait to return and heartily recommend Borgo San Luigi to anyone seeking a slice of Tuscan paradise.

This is a must stay for a stop in Tuscany. Beautiful location, tremendous staff, wonderful food and ambiance. The ratio of highly qualified staff to guests makes you feel like on a cruise where you are catered to individually. Thank you Massimo for a wonderful dining experience. When arriving, you drive down a gravel road feeling a little anxious, but then it opens to a tree lined drive, leading to a lovely Villa and expansive, lush grounds. Centrally located for touring local wineries or Siena and so peaceful after spending time in major European cities.

We had been touring southern Europe for 5 weeks, mostly in large cities with the related sirens, street noise, & garbage trucks. We booked a car and decided to drive through Tuscany on our way to Rome, spending the first 3 nights here.

I injured my knee in the Cinque Terre and staff was so accommodating, letting us look at rooms closer to the dining room & pool area. Although we chose a much smaller room then what we had booked, the closeness to amenities & ability to park by the room was a life saver. Although small, the room was nicely equipped & had a large bathroom. There were a few maintenance things (sticking drawers, broken handles, etc.) that should be addressed and an umbrella or covering above the outside sitting area would be nice. Bird droppings inhibited use of the outside.

The peace & tranquility of the location was so refreshing. Even though there were many families, the lawn & pool area is so vast, they were not disturbing. The pool closes at the dinner hour (restaurant is directly behind the pool) so noise is limited after 7 pm which is very nice.

Food - excellent. I’m not sure what some of the lower reviews were expecting but service was top notch (yes, it’s a slower pace but still enjoyable) and the quality of the food was very good. I didn’t realize I had ordered the Tuscan menu our first night and it was a set menu. I can be a little picky but I tried everything & it was wonderful - even the cannelloni stuffed with wild boar. The breakfast buffet was one of the nicest I’ve seen & is included with your room. Individually cooked eggs, juicing machine with fresh fruits to choose from, yogurt, fruit, cereal, sliced meats & cheeses, smoked salmon, many types of pastries and breads and a selection of juices. A nice packaged selection of gluten free cookies & pastries as well. Of course Prosecco is available along with coffee & espresso. We ended up eating at the restaurant all three nights.

Family feel but also high quality, attentive service. A real respite for us. We will be back!

We had a wonderful experience at this idyllic property in a great location in central Tuscany! The rooms are functional, if a little dated, but the true beauty of this place lies in its setting and property - truly special. My kids loved the pool, we loved lying on the comfy loungers by the pool, and all of us enjoyed the wonderful service from smiling staff. The breakfast was great too. The location is extremely central, 20 min from Siena, 50 min from Florence, and 30 min or less from a number of super cute historic Tuscan towns like San Gimignano and Monteriggioni. Would highly recommend and happily return!

We had the best experience in this hotel. If can i would love to give the staff 10 star instead. Everyone literally everyone was the best! A bit back story for our journey.

First amazing service, so we book only one night via traveloka, which cant be reschedule, but we email them asking for help to reschedule and adding one more night and they help us during the process.

Second, on our way to the hotel from Rome, unfortunately accident happen with our rent car, the tyre exploded (flat tyre) in the middle of nowhere, no store open no people, and we have no Italian number to call for help. Yet we email the hotel and they have been very fast response and help save our life basically.

Third during checkin they make sure we can still have dinner in the restaurant. The staff was very caring, i think the issue is brief to the members because during our 2night stay i think everyone really care about our situation and help with arranging transportation.

And regarding the rooms, it is amazing, the entrance of the hotel feels like we enter a fairytale story hahaha. Amazing hotel, quiet with birds chirping, view was amazing with the greenery is well taken care of. The rooms facade also feels like we back to the old days but with update inside. The foods also amazing! Can’t find any bad thing from this hotel.

Finally when we checkout, the staff give us drink and snack because we will take the 6hr train ride, small gesture but very thoughtful.

Definitely a big recommendation to stay here, we will come back here too absolutely!

BIG THANKS BORGO SAN LUIGI TEAM! Loveyou

Amazing place!! Everywhere you look it is stunning! Staff very friendly, rooms incredible!! Maybe it is a bit too isolated and there are specific times for eating in the restaurants which is a bit limited! But in general 10/10!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was the best we had in Europe. Gorgeous property and centrally located in Tuscany to visit Florence, Siena and nearby hill towns. Electric car charging stations as well!

We stayed at this venue for my cousin's recent wedding. We were beyond impressed with not only the accommodations, but the overall service especially at the bar. Each night Jimmy and Johnny both took great care of our party even staying open late to accommodate our drinking needs. The morning breakfast was delightful and the resort took extra care keeping the grounds clean. If you're planning a stay in this area, I highly recommend Borgo San Luigi.

This hotel is amazing. The property is immaculate. Breakfast buffet was very good. Dinner was exceptional and better than off-property dinner options. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway that's reasonably priced. The staff was great from the check in to the restaurant. Will be back.

We recently stayed here and we had a beautiful experience. The hotel is set on Tuscany’s lovely countryside. It is quiet and serene on your way up the long driveway. As you approach you will hear the what makes this hotel so special. It was full of families playing, swimming, playing on the lawn, and gathering around the pool for a meal. The hotel lobby comes into view and there will be the hustle of staff ready help make your stay there easy and memorable.
The meal is a special time here as well. They do a BBQ at night and a gorgeous breakfast buffet. The buffet had many traditional Italian choices. Fresh squeezed juices, a million different cheeses and meats, crepes and inlets, smoked salmon, and everything in between.
On a special note, they have another resort in Siena. We had a very special accommodation that needed to be met. The general manager there was the best. She worked with our family but it was ultimately the owner’s call on this specific situation. The owner in Siena was there and I met with him. He did a very good deed for my family that we will never forget. The moral and ethical side of the way the business is run is enough to receive praise and our return.
But the beauty of both hotels, the staff at both properties, the food and level of service deserve 5 stars.

Great hotel with a beautiful massive garden with a pool. In the garden there are a large number of (moveable) beds. The pool is quite big and kept very clean. Staff is amazingly friendly and does its absolute best to make your stay very comfortable. Breakfast buffet has a very wide range of options and the quality is quite good. Lunch and dinner is also good, just limited options and the same every night. We were offered an upgrade to the Suite, which was amazing. Very big and nicely decorated, with a nice balcony overseeing the garden. Charging for electric cars is available, including a Tesla Destination Charger, free to use by guests at a gated parking. Just note the parking is outside with only a few trees (so your car will get hot in the summer). Great hotel to relax, highly recommended!
Dinner in shifts is efficient, however if you have reserved for the last shift it can happen that you can only start eating very late as you need to wait for people in the previous shift to leave. Effectively meaning you can only sit down at 21:00 or 21:15, while reserved at 20:30.

Fantastic place. Large spaces. Lovely lawns. Rooms are large and superb. Completely in sync with Tuscan heritage. Wake up to the chirping of birds and enjoy the freshness of the morning sun. Very clean and amazing place. Huge property so be ready to walk few meters to the restaurant etc. Excellent breakfast spread. Good food. The staff are very warm and helpful. Loved the stay. Staff were excellent and very helpful. The actual room was tidy and clean. We had a fantastic view from our terrace and was a great spot to sit and read a book. Restaurant on site provided and excellent breakfast each morning and we had a wonderful dinner there on one of the nights. Overall, the estate was a lovely place to walk around and soak up. There was a few bits of rubbish up on our terrace that had not been cleaned up and we required maintance to get the heaters working.
