The Grand Hotel Miramare is truly grand is its stature and the service of the staff was wonderful. We only spent a few evenings and wish we had one more to enjoy the grounds and explore the city center of Santa Margherita Ligure. We selected this hotel as a base between Portofino (we took the ferry one way and a taxi back) and Cinque Terra (we took the local train which was very easy). I'm uploading pictures taken from our room which was very large with a beautiful sea view balcony. The walking paths in the back of the hotel are beautiful and the pool incredible (its cold, salt water and deep like the sea) and relaxing! The breakfast was vast and incredibly tasty while the sun arises and the evening piano player fantastic to enjoy from the main terrace or your balcony!

My wife and I attended a wedding here and spent a few nights as well. It's as advertised and the rooms are truly beautiful. The breakfast is amazing and the staff is wonderful. The views of the Mediteranean from the property are unbeatable. We had a 'garden view' which is another way of saying the back of the hotel but that didn't diminish our enjoyment at all. Although our stay was perfect in every way I must admit there are other hotels in the area that may provide a better value. If you're going to spend that much on a hotel a view must come with the deal. If a 'sea view' room isn't available I'd check the other options in town.

“the Mira” speaks to the feeling of being welcomed into a private residence… Truly outstanding experience & impeccable service from all aspects! We loved our stay with a stunning garden view room (number 501). Definitely adding this hotel to our retirement destinations!❤
Only downside was that we weren’t informed that we will be paying a daily parking service charge and that it is not included in the stay rate (super expensive).

We spent a week at this Hotel and it was fabulous! Great location to explore Margherita and Portofino. The pool at this hotel is refreshing and relaxing.. perfect getaway for our 40th Anniversary. We had the best room over looking the water with a private balcony.

This hotel goes above and beyond for its guests. The second you walk in the door you are greeted and taking care of. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. The food and room service are 10/10. The views are breathtaking and you’re a minutes walk from down town with shopping and restaurants . We will be staying here again!!

We came here for our honeymoon while traveling throughout Italy. Beyond fantastic service (everyone there refers to you by name and makes you feel like a celebrity) , gorgeous hotel, beautiful breakfast, dinner and wonderful cocktails (especially by the pool!). Location is a huge plus as well. Strongly recommend!

This hotel is amazing. Just amazing. The service was perfect. The room was large and beautiful. The bathroom - from the fixtures, to the products - was great (although the water pressure in the shower was an odd bit weak?) The gardens were picturesque. Breakfast was also fantastic. The pool is one of the largest and deepest I've ever experienced at a hotel, although sadly it was not heated yet when we were there, so a brief dip was plenty of "refreshment"! It's a bit of a walk into town, but it's so lovely that it's absolutely worth it. We only ate lunch there, and that only once, but while pricey it was also quite excellent. Highly recommend as a splurge experience.

I liked it a lot. Took the garden view room and it was very relaxing stay for me.

Location: very convenient

Room: loved the back balcony. Quiet. Room is clean, only the icon bed frame is too hard, fabric will be better and the mattress can be better too. The bathroom is good with the window

Service: Pretty good but I think I was expecting better. Maybe the staffs need to have more smile and more attentive

Food: didn’t like the aperitif food. The Bellini also not impressive. Only the live music was nicer

Pool: I prefer rectangle size

Private beach: not bad but it’s not sand beach not so much view

Lovely Easter Weekend - we had a great experience: professional Staff, attention to details in everything they do and meal quality (breakfast, lunch and dinner). All in one just amazing. Recommended!

We have family in Italy and visit from the USA every other year to different parts of Italy, twice to Positano. Usually we stay in local apartments and not hotels, and were wondering if we would miss the authenticity of our usual mode of travel. We were celebrating my retirement from 33 years of public school teaching and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The staff, the surroundings, the service and the VIEW were magical. Even though it is a tourist area like the Amalfi coast, it is filled with Italian visitors enjoying the lovely seaside passegiatas and lively appertif hours we had come to love. The town of Santa Margherita is so accessible from the hotel; an easy 5 minute, flat stroll full of restaurants and shops. Smaller yacht filled Portofino is minutes away as is larger Rapallo where we took a pesto cooking class. There is enough to do for lots of interests, or nothing to do but soak in the view and beauty of this region of Italy, as was our purpose this trip. Seafood is the main staple of all menus, although pizza is available. A cute little boat in the port serves cones of lightly fried seafood with plastic cups of wine in contrast to the elegant dinners at Vistamare. We loved and would repeat both.
We stayed for 5 nights in the Portofino suite. We were welcomed by the manager with a prosecco and some history of the family owned hotel. The pool was beautiful, relaxing and with a serene view of the Coast of Dolphins. Our suite was a splurge, but worth every penny to lounge on the terrace in the afternoons or enjoy the complimentary and expansive breakfast at our leisure. Cleaned multiple times through the day, comfortable king mattress, and the softest of linens. There are more reasonably priced rooms as well that still give you access to the wonderful staff, amenities, and wonders of the Italian Riviera.
We thank the wonderful hosts at the Grand Hotel Miramare and can't wait to return.

My family stayed here for 11 nights and had a fantastic time. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is exceptionally kind and helpful, and the grounds are meticulously maintained. They were very accommodating and welcoming to our children, ages 1 and 4. We hope to return soon!

We had a great stay! Greeted by super kind and helpful staff with all the help we needed from luggage to places to eat and transport info. Miramar is a beautiful hotel, elegant and classy with everything you need! Large pool area with a restaurant is stunning. We got the upgrade and had a room on the last floor with a balcony and a great view. The room was clean and beautiful, bathroom is large and newly done. Even electrical Outlets have transformers for all kinds of voltage. Beach is right in front of the hotel with a beach bar and service. Wonderful hotel, definitely best in the whole area.

Had one of the best massages ever here. I visited E'SPA'ce for an 80-minute garden massage in September 2022 while in Santa Margherita during our honeymoon. Incredibly relaxing, beautiful walk through the garden, and professional service. Highly recommend visiting this spa!

This was truly an awesome experience. When we arrived at check-in were given extremely helpful guidance that was beyond what we expected. This set the tone for the experience going forward.
The hotel and our room was classic Italian riviera (at least our impression of it) and we loved it.
The bed was extremely comfortable, the views were awesome, and the amenities were excellent.
Breakfast was fantastic and the service made you feel like a truly valued guest. Amazing.
Within walking distance of everything.
What more can I say. It was an incredibly memorable experience and I recommend it 100%!

Built in 1902 and beautifully refurbished nearly every year makes this hotel another first class property. The entrance is stunning up marble stairs to the foyer and opens to a spacious reception.
The rooms are superb with Trussardi amenities, king size bed safe and good wardrobe space.
The pool area has just been refurbished and is saltwater based.
Capped off with beautiful gardens this makes for a five stay stay.

Concierge Stefano has been at the hotel for 35years and is a wonderful asset.
Highly recommended✅💯

Beautiful hotel. Incredible views, great pool and grounds. Rooms are fantastic, very clean and elegant. Service is the only borderline 5 star component of this hotel as they appear to be a bit understaffed at times. Overall though, an amazing hotel that is definitely worth staying at while on vacation.

It's amazing:
The interior, the staff working there, spa treatments, pool area, wonderful breakfast.
The only complain I'd have is that some rooms that haven't been renovated (we had a garden view room this time) have a very loud air conditioning. Was bothering us at night.

We recently stayed at Grand Hotel Miramare. The hotel is in a perfect location and is just beautiful. Our room and the bathroom were spacious. The room had a double closet with room for all our luggage. The view from our balcony was just gorgeous. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the beautiful pool. An added bonus was the outdoor bar with the amazing piano player that played each night. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and perfect before we left for sightseeing for the day We loved our stay at Grand Hotel Miramare and highly recommend it!

I stayed at this hotel for the first time and I’m sure it won’t be the last! The property is magnificent and charming with a large pool area and also literally in front of the hotel there is the beach club. I had a wonderful pasta dish at lunch one day that I’m still thinking about to this day. Personnel very professional and friendly. Definitely recommended.
