I will be forever grateful to the hotel and its staff. Their kindness, helpfulness, and professionalism were exceptional, and I cannot express enough gratitude for their support during a stressful time. I have been here a couple of times. I do have to say that the service and quality of food has suffered a bit of quality reduction. However, it's still one of the nicest atmospheres. The spa, sauna, and wellness departments are very unique and definitely worth / justify the price. The bar is sometimes closed for non-hotel guests. The prices for externals are pretty affordable (e.g., 5.00 EUR for a large beer)

Everything about this hotel is amazing. Some other resorts in nearby areas come off as more a Disneyland than promoting the surrounding culture in a 5 star manner. There's so much to do here that you could spend a week just trying to get to it all. The service is fantastic, food delicious, & views cinematic. As someone traveling internationally on this journey, a stay here can make trips. If you can make it happen I highly recommend it!

Very good place to stay at. Good breakfast service, rooms. This is an unique place.

This is by for one of this most relaxing places to stay. The staff are incredibly helpful and remember you quickly and your drink of choice. They are always ready to have a chat if you are on your own as well. The room that I stayed in had an incredible view of the mountains and it was so peaceful. The room also the size of a small apartment, there is enough space to just hang out there if you wanted, but it would be a shame to miss out on the surroundings.

We had the most amazing stay here! The spa was out of this world! We did a class in the sauna that is a must do! The restaurant was amazing for dinner and a spectacular breakfast buffet! We will be back!

This place has a special place in my heart. The same family has been running it continuously for over 300 years and it first opened in the 1600's. There's just too much about the place to put down in a small review, but in a few words it's magnificent. The same family has run this business for generations. The attention to detail is mind-blowing. At first (being a ski travel junkie) I thought the great attraction for me would be skiing the mecca of Austrian skiing, The Hahnenkamm in Kitzbuhel which is a short drive away. But the Stanglewirt Resort quickly stole the show. It's definitely a family affair and lots of stuff to do for kids however It's like Disneyland for adults. The relaxation in the spas, the myriad tunnels of granite steam rooms, the clothing optional saunas and Glacier pool, tennis, golf, skiing it just goes on and on. Just when you think you've seen it all, there's another passageway to another massive relaxation center or spa. And wherever you go it all looks brand new. The staff there must be paid well because they all just seem so happy and it shows in every detail. I spoke to a few families who have been coming there every year for a decade. When you first walk in the lobby, there's a huge glass wall where you can watch equestrian lessons with gorgeous Lipenzzaner horses. (We took a lesson and it was fantastic)
As you walk through the maze of halls there are photos on the wall of celebrities who've been there like Muhammad Ali, George Harrison of The Beatles, Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the list goes on.
Most of the photos are taken with the owner Mr. Hauser, who came to our table on several different nights, always with a big smile and great stories.
His own story of building this incredible resort is worth checking out. It is an echo warriors wonder. The way he was able to incorporate bio technology, that's good for the planet yet keeps a traditional look is worth visiting just on that alone. I just can't write enough about it. You really have to look into for yourself. I'm still humming from it. The food, I just smile when I think about it, there was just so much variety. The cheese is all made on site and is fit for kings and queens.
There are so many little eating areas in the resort. I don't believe I visited them all but the ones that I did were all so different. There's one restaurant where one part of the wall is all glass and on the other side are milking cows all with their names above their station. It was absolutely mesmerizing. You literally have your meal inches away from these beautiful creatures. All the children seem to love it but not as much as I did . Meanwhile, all the staff are dressed in traditional Austrian garb. It just gives you a great sense of history and pride. When we were there there were only a few Americans mostly Europeans, but I think when Americans find this place it will become a huge destination. It really is absolutely wonderful and worth your time to do a little research about it and visit it. You won't be disappointed.

For me a “must-have” holiday every year. The spa area of Stangl is second to none in Europe with several Saunas, pools and wind-down areas. Staff is exceptionally friendly and prices for food / drink are very fair. Despite its size, the hotel manages to make you feel at home and one feels that this is very much a family-run place. Ideal to recharge your batteries - we will be back :)

Amazing experience. Amazing food. Excellent service. It's a must visit if visiting the area of Kitzbuhel , to stay or the dinner. The cows add a rustic touch to a 5 star experience.

What a surprise! Eating near the cows. Their selves eating quietly in their stable. We weren't expecting this as we stopped at Stanglwirt just to have a quick bite on our trip through Austria. The seasonal menu around asparagus was excellent. The service was nice and the atmosphere exceptional. We had a great experience here.

Really beautiful place, the view is truly amazing. You can have a great time with whole your family. Food was above average, we were expecting a little more, still was flavorful and tasty. Probably one of the most cozy restrooms))))))

Occasion: I was at this place with Wife to be in september 2020. at this hotel i asked her to be my wife and it worked out! 🔥🍾 so this hotel will totally be one of my favorite!!

Location: stunning, you have more then you dream of
Food: typical austrian food, super delicious
Wine: great
Bar: super cozy
Children: also good and there are a lot of activities (also for adults)
Room: perfect, cozy, clean, big, nice view
Parking: enough parking space
SPA: super relaxing, you have a lot of different places within the whole spa area
Price: high but every cent worth it
Guests: super nice and classy

Conclusion: hope to be back soon! And then i need to take more pictures
