La Locanda sul Porto

A must go if you’re in Monopoli.
Our primi were great, the octopus was so tender and the tuna was very fresh.
For our mains, the pasta was incredible. The seafood was so soft and melted in your mouth.
I didn’t get a photo of the other mains ordered but we had the salmon and the seafood grill, both were also spectacular.
I personally didn’t enjoy the tiramisu but everyone else’s desserts were great.

Wanted to visit the place a day earlier, but it was closed. Today we got a chance to grab their delicious seafood lunch, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! Most of the guests are locals, the vibe is really cool, and the dishes are of a decent size. Would gladly recommend!

Really good restaurant. The fish is very fresh. You need to book at least a day in advance as it is fully booked.

We had lunch there. It was the only restaurant that we found open this time of the year. The food was delisious. Service was great. The wine proposed by waiter was really fine.

Amazing place! I arrived here as a solo traveller at 7.30pm and the restaurant was empty so I asked for a table. The waiter said ok but I had to leave by 9pm as they were fully booked for the night. I took the table and I’m so grateful they could fit me in - the service and food were both amazing! I had the Burrata starter with the tastiest jam, a swordfish spaghettoni and a homemade tiramisu. The tiramisu is also gluten free and it was delicious!! The staff (especially the tall man with shaved head) were lovely & very friendly. This meal came to €30 (without alcohol) and I thought it was great value! Make sure to book in advance if you want to eat here, as I think I just got lucky!

Excellent restaurant! One of my best culinary memory in Puglia. Try their 7 plates Locanda Mixed Appetizers for 2. Truly amazing.

I would give 10stars if I could. We’ve been to la Locanda sul Porto in one of the last days of our 2-week holiday in Southern Italy and this was the best meal of all amazing lunches and dinners.
Do not miss the antipasto della Locanda which is a 7-plate jewel and showcases great cooking skills as well as varied fresh fish and seafood. The platters are also well furnished and at a very good price and you’ll find a large variety of pasta, all better than the others.
The deserts are also great and the staff, very professional, ensures the whole meal is a very pleasant experience.
Anyway do not miss this place while in Monopoli, this is really a must.

We came here 3 times on our visit. Bruschetta, grilled tuna, red shrimp with stracciatella, pasta with clams, pasta with swordfish, shellfish ravioli, all beyond delicious and so fresh 🧜‍♀

The only place in our entire trip we booked to go back to. Great quality food at good prices. Loved every dish we had.

We were not thinking about visiting Monopoli during out trip but we finished early in Locorotondo and decided to go to Monopoli for lunch, basically because we were looking for a place to eat fresh fish and seafood and we ended up in this place and it was amazing. The food was superb, the staff really nice and helpful. We loved it. You have to eat there if you go to Monopoli
