Cloister Of The Cathedral

Beautiful cathedral and a square near it. There a lot of restaurants on the square, so you can order a meal and enjoy the pretty view. Restaurants offer dishes of different cuisines, so you will have options to choose from.
Unfortunately, the cathedral was closed when we get there, but at least we made good pictures outside)
Note: it is pretty crowded place, you will need to wait a bit to make a photo of the church.

This is the miracle of Norman culture and architecture of XII century. Must see place at Cefalu.

CONTINUANDO CON MI VISITA GRATUITA A LA CATEDRAL DE CEFALU, VISITO EL CLAUSTRO TANTO DESDE LA PASARELA QUE HAY POR ENCIMA COMO POR DEBAJO. NO ES DE LOS MAS IMPRESIONANTES QUE HE VISITADO PERO AUN ASI ES MUY BONITO Y LOS DETALLES DE LAS COLUMNAS SON MUY CURIOSOS. ADEMAS TUVE LA SUERTE DE QUE HABIA UN CATERING Y APROVECHE PARA IRME CENADA AL APARTAMENTO GRATIS, JAJAJAJAJA. TAMBIEN VISITE EL MUSEO SACRO. LAS FOTOS SON DEL AÑO 2019.

Annesso alla Cattedrale, rappresenta il più antico chiostro esistente in Sicilia del tipo a capitello binato su doppia colonnina ed è una delle più eccelse testimonianze artistico/scultoree di età normanna, .
I corridoi sono caratterizzati da colonnine con capitelli binati istoriati (decorati cioè con contenuti storici e biblici) che sorreggono eleganti arcate a sesto acuto.
Curiosamente costruito ad una quota di 3,40 metri più bassa rispetto a piano sul quale si trova la cattedrale, per anni rimase chiuso solo nel 2003, conclusi i lavori di restauro, fu nuovamente visitabile.

Da vedere assolutamente se si visita il duomo di Cefalù

Dies ist der Kreuzgang des ehemaligen Konvents mit romanischen Säulenkapitellen. Für mich gibt es spektakulärere Kreuzgänge, dafür ist dieser überhaupt nicht stark besucht und eine Oase der Stille.

Gyönyörű kívül-belül. Ingyen látogatható.

Luogo accanto alla cattedrale che merita senz'altro una visita.
