Ristorante BISTROT AL 5

Second visit, equally wonderful. Set in Fiesole centre with tables outside, a very nice experience. Food was very good and just like the pictures shown on other posts, with ingredients locally sourced right down to the honey. Stuffed peppers were not what we expected and a pleasant surprise with tastes of Thailand. Cold tomato soup again a surprise, it's shrimp with diced fruits in a little tomato juice, very refreshing. Pork medallions soft and gently cooked with a nice honey sauce was delicate flavours.
Bit disappointed with the steak not peppery as advertised, but cooked nice wirh a good char, potatoes were great. The agnolotti was a beautiful, yellow tomato sauce and stuffed with tuscan sausage, a must. The most unexpected carrot cake, a delight.
Staff very nice, very helpful, seats a bit uncomfortable, on 2nd visit enjoyed comfy seats inside.

We really enjoyed our lunch there at Bistrot 5. The service was really nice, and the food was really tasty, using bio and regional products. I highly recommend!

The food is always excellent and they are very accommodating towards children (they have a few highchairs and gladly chat with them). We've been going there for 4 years now and have never been disappointed once! And their burgers are the best in Florence, just simply beautiful and tasty and perfectly cooked!!! Today and always!!!! And if you are gluten intolerant or celiac and call in advance they even do their own delicious gluten free bread for you!!!

A real gastronomic adventure in Fiesole and Toscana paired with warm welcoming service. Each dish has a story, a connection to the local producers and they are fantastic! The selection of wines is also exemplary. There are some bottles from near by artisan wineries. I strongly recomend this place!

Fine dining plates, extremely tasteful, very creative and delicious food.

We had the cheese plate (OMG!) the porcini antipasti, the Al5 egg and the attached dolci. Wow! Well-done!

we had a great dinner here, the food was perfect and the staff were very friendly and attentive. also this place is very classy with pleasant establishment and nice decoration. highly recommend!

What a wonderful discovery! Beautiful street restaurant with excellent menu, warm welcome and superb food. I had ravioli with ricotta and chard in a tomato and basil coulis - absolutely magnificent - followed by a yoghurt with walnut crumble, plum and basil jams and olive oil. I could not fault anything, even the price (70€ for two including drinks)

Yes, the prices are a bit high and portions not huge but the food is unique and wonderful. It is also in the wealthiest suburb of Florence so the prices make sense. We have been in Tuscany for 2 months and this is one of, if not the best, meal we have had. Not your typical Tuscan menu. And the wine list is amazing!

An amazing restaurant owned by a family for a few generations. Traditional and typical products cooked in a modern way and a perfect atmosphere. Thanks to the staff for the warm welcome and congratulations to the Chef.

Went there for lunch, really good food and super pleasant staff (who actually took time to explain the food, where it came from and have some info about the area). Great time there, I do recommend !

Excellent/delcious "primi piati". We both loved our pasta dish.
The terrace offers a nice view on the plaza.
The only negative point is the price.

We randomly picked this restaurant while in Fiesole one afternoon. It was the best dining experience we had in our month in Italy. Nice interior. Great service. Amazing food.

After living in Firenze for a year and trying multiple restaurants, Bistrot Al 5 is by far the best food experience I've experienced. Perfectly cooked, best ingridients and delicious wine plus good service!

The best food we’ve eaten in Florence, Fiesole, or Rome thus far after a week of meals. Phenomenal lasagna, pomodoro taglialini, and taglialini with truffle.

Cute place, yummy food! They have some decent vegetarian options which is nice especially for a restaurant in a more remote place like Fiesole.

Excellent Bistrot, amazing choice of antipasti, piatti et dolci done and presented in a modern way. Staff very kind an price according to restaurant principles (biological products, from local farms). I strongly recommend this place!!!!
