What an exceptional restaurant this is, what a gem, a total discovery. The food, the service and the ambiance is perfect. We ate during the winter months and we can’t wait to dine during the summer in the beautiful garden. I can’t recommend this highly enough.

Excellent all round - don’t hesitate to book! . We celebrated our friends big birthday and we couldn’t have been more well looked after.
Danielle chose us some excellent wines, all local, very reasonable and ones that we didn’t know about, but certainly will buy again. The service was attentive and efficient, and the food was outstanding- great selection on menus, it’s exceptional value and a beautiful surrounding

The tasting earth menu it’s a perfect mix of local dishes but made in a modern way.

Very good wine selection alongside a very good mâitre which suggested a us a wonderful atypical Pinot noir (Ventisei of Rio).

Buonissimo! Excellent. We have been twice, and the food and service was superb on both occasions. Full even on a Monday, you should make a reservation. My choices last night, Rotolo di coniglio for antipasto, cotteletto di agnello for secondi potato, melt in the mouth delicious. 3 courses and a bottle of wine for 2 was under 100eu, and for what we got, is very good value. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.

We had the most amazing time here, try the tagliolini all tartufo . Also the tuna fish was excellent, chocolate fondant with custard is a must very happy with our choices

My first real taste of Italian food, server explained alot to me as I was very lost of course . I choose 2 meals with appetizer and each and every bit had a hummmm come from my taste buds, if ever in Tuscany its a must stop in location.....Bravo !!

Recommended by our Villa host, Papaveri e Papere is located in an unassuming part of San Miniato. The majority of the dining room was locals, which was a great indication of the high quality that we would also get to experience. The friendly and professional staff spoke very little English, but were very helpful in our course selections (they do have the menu and wine list available in English). All of our dinners were delicious and a real treat!

Fantastic food, great attentive service. Really friendly owner, who is always willing to explain more about the ingredients. Value for money is excellent. The five course (actually six course, einde you can even choose your desert) diner offers a truly great experience. One of the finest choices in the Tuscany region!

Probably our best meal this time around in Tuscany! Superb place, service, food and wine. 9 of us: variety of dishes - highlights; octopus grilled, langoustine pasta, sturgeon and gnocchi. The local premier wines were incredible: Serverus was unreal! So very good. Daniel looked after us and was brilliant. Sit outside and enjoy the landscape and skies! Highly recommended

We had a great dinner, with many courses and delicious wine recommended by the sommelier including a sublime Ansonica from Giglio Island and a local vernaccia , service was outstanding, everyone had a great time.

This was an excellent restaurant experience. We work at a local agriturismo and will definitely be recommending this place to our guests. Daniele and his staff provided top notch service, attention to detail, and great wine pairing suggestions. The tasting menu was a treat that all should try. Big thank you to the chef and the kitchen staff. Already looking forward to the next time.

Beautiful garden setting. Food was very different and beautifully presented. We had the fish tasting menu and loved every course.

Had one of the best dishes of my life here. In fact, with the first bite I knew this would be the dish I would request as my final meal before I die if I could choose. The white truffle tagliolini. Perfectly al dente, a mind blowingly balanced butter sauce, plus the freshest white truffle you can find. This place deserves 3 Michelin stars for this one dish alone. And they allow dogs. Definitely worth a special trip just for this place. Thank you so much to the friendly Facebook person who recommended this restaurant to us. If someone asked what the best part of our honeymoon was, I’d probably say this plate of pasta. 100000000 stars!

Fantastic food. More important, amazing hospitality. After we were unexpectedly unable to make our reservation due to an upset baby, Papaveri & Papere went out of their way to help us. They improvised an amazing take away meal for my wife and I. What started out as a tough evening ended with a demonstration of Italian / Tuscan hospitality. Thank you!

My wife and I really enjoyed this place. It is definitely a nicer restaurant but not too expensive. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us in their outdoors area, which is still covered. It was a great romantic dinner.

Papaveri & Papere is located at the feet of one of Tuscany’s many rolling hills, this however doesn’t seem to hinder a gentle breeze to refresh its guests on a hot summer night.
The friendly waiting staff is top notch, a level matched by their outstanding chef who manages to create simple yet interesting and innovative Italian dishes. The sommelier, Daniele if I remember correctly, matches these plates with tasty regional wines.
I highly recommend the ‘terra’ tasting menu. If à la carte is more desirable, the pici and squid dishes are a must.
Will return!

absolutely professional and friendly high class restaurant. people who really live there job and who are always engadged. one thing i have to say: " the somelier is a dream. you can absolutely trust him. just tell him a bit about your preferences and he will always offer you the best choice. he also offers you mature white wines with a great potential like a soave 2012 or a 2011 chardonay from north of verona (absulutely wonderful). and the best is: we rarely had a better price-value relation. if i could i would give 6 stars.
