Castello di Serralunga d'Alba

Very nice litte town with a castle on the hill. You can walk the town enjoy the old houses and get a very nice view of the surrounding.

I had opportunity to visit this stunning place few weeks ago. Serralunga it is a small town but with breath taking views. If you enjoy medieval castles, panoramic views and good vine you definitely should visit this town.

This is a "must see" location when visiting the Langhe wine region. The castle is spectacular and offers stunning views on the langhe scenery.

Another castle on a hill dating back to the 14th century and still in its juice having not had any military interventions in its long history. A very interesting impressive building to visit with guided tours every Thursday afternoon or public holidays. Beautifull views of the surrounding vineyards and other hilltop villages of the Langhe region.
Free parking in the village below and public toilets in the castle grounds.

Wonderful medieval castle near Barolo. It can be visited only with guided tour, during the weekend once every 30 minutes.. the visits last about 45 minutes and is very interesting. Some guides takes tour in english too, but make sure to ask before starting!

Cool little castle. Were no tourists or locals around at all. But maybe because we visited on a weekday when its closed.. only open on weekends but still have a great view of the surrounding area.

Beautiful castle from the XIII century - unique in terms of its architecture in Italy. I recommend taking the 45min tour, which is in Italian, but if the group is small the guide will also make explainations in English. A leaflet in English and French is also available.

If you have a chance to stop by Serralunga d'Alba it's really worth a visit.

A must visit! In a country filled with castles this one is one of the few that has remained mainly as it has been for eight hundred years! And the tour guides really share with you what it was like back then!
