Bar Mazzini

If you are looking for delicious coffee and the best Sicilian cakes, this is the place to be! On a side street, just outside the crowds you will find bar mazzini. I was looking for a croissant with pistachio filling and they had it there. The staff member was very friendly and told me I could also sit on the terrace. I also ordered a coffee Americano there. I will definitely go back there again!

We visited this, what I would call pastry bar, on our Streaty tour with the lovely Agatha. We stopped in for some cold water and the famous cipollina which was AMAZING. It's something like a puff pastry filled with mozzarella, green onions, tomato sauce, and one olive (you're lucky if you get the olive in your bite!). It was so enjoyable we ate the entire thing and then a whole other one. The owner was incredibly kind and friendly as well which was just the cherry on top. I definitely recommend you come here, especially for the cipollina!

I loved this place during my time in Catania. I came here for coffee every morning and sometimes had a pistachio canoli or pistachio cornetto later in the day. The arancini is also amazing! The staff are very quick and friendly. I will be back! Thank you.

Each bite of the savoury food was a pleasure. Good prices. Decent staff too. We came in the evening again for a sweet snack, which made is full.

A funny moment when we were far from the place, and saw the guy on a motor bike going home. He recognized us and said hello from the road. :D

The amazingly friendly owner, the music and the clean and pretty interior of the place make the atmosphere really nice. According to a tip from a local the Cipolline you can get here are the best in town. We had the classic ones and indeed loved them. We also tried the pastries here and they are SO good!
We are very happy we found this place and warmly recommend it.

Fantastic service! I’m vegan even though they didn’t have any vegan cannoli on the menu they offered to make me a vegan one. The owner was very nice and the food was delicious.

Excellent cafe with vegan options. The gentlemen at the bar were very kind and accommodating, helping us to choose the vegan/lactose free options. The chocolate vegan cannolo was very good and the regular cannolo was my favorite so far. Thank you Bar Mazzini! I will definitely be back!

Great choice for al fresco dining located in a smaller plaza off the city center. Pizza was very satisfying!

Probably the best place for a breakfast! So nice people, huge variety of Sicilian pastry, perfectly made scrambled eggs and sweet orange juice. We couldn’t wish for better.

The best service, the best breakfasts, the best staff, the best bar in Catania. Great Campari spritz and negronis. This says it all. Avoid the rest Bar Mazzini is best. We should know... we have used them for over a month and never any disappointment over quality, variety or price. The owner speaks excellent English and is delight to deal with.

We had breakfast twice in here because we enjoyed it so much. Coffee is great pastries are fresh and tasty and the guys here are super nice!

Best place in Catania for breakfast and coffee - went here everyday on our trip! Service is incredible and the setting is beautiful. Highly recommended - you have to check it out!
