We had such an amazing experience at this restaurant, twice!! Excellent food, excellent customer service, and a great selection of wine to take home. We will definitely be back again! Loved it♥

Good quality of food in right proportion, not too little or too much. The location is beautiful.
Price are super fair; it is clean and the stuff is friendly and kind.

This is a hidden gem in the small village of Scansano. The owners has been here for more than 50 years. The food is great and probably one of the best place to try local specialties from this lovely part of Tuscany. If you like red wine order Morellino. The soups are very tasty and so is the fresh pasta.

The food was delicious (we had pasta), the owner very friendly and atmosphere was great. One of the nicest places in the area.

Di passaggio a Scansano ci siamo fermati al Grottone per un pasto veloce prima di riprendere il viaggio. Dopo un antipasto di salumi misti, sottoli, formaggi e qualche crostino (questi ultimi possono essere migliorati) abbiamo preso una Acquacotta e una Zuppa di Porcini e fagioli, ambedue davvero squisite! Ci torneremo di sicuro per assaggiare il resto!!! Dimenticavo… posto incantevole.

Pierwsza uwaga po wizycie w Il Grottone: nie zważajcie na liczbę gwiazdek na goooogloooowych mapach. Zwykle unikamy knajpek o średniej ocenie poniżej 4,0.
Gdybyśmy ominęli Il Grottone stracilibyśmy wspaniała kolację!
Po pierwsze: nie sugerujcie się skromnym, niepozornym wejściem. Gdy przekroczycie bramy restauracji, znajdziecie się w klimatycznym wnętrzu, w którym wszystkie sale nakryte są kamiennymi, nadającymi urok, sklepieniami.
Po drugie: bardzo sympatyczny gospodarz i cały personel.
Po trzecie: kuchnia. Prosta, ale bardzo smakowita. Na naszą prośbę kucharz przyrządził przystawkę, której nie było w karcie: rewelacyjne, grilowane prawdziwki.
Wszystkie dania, począwszy od prostej bruschetty: aglio e olio a skończywszy na tiramisu bardzo, bardzo smaczne.
Po czwarte: swobodna, bardzo miła atmosfera.

Locale molto suggestivo, il proprietario è simpatico ed un gran lavoratore, abbiamo mangiato una fiorentina squisita con cottura perfetta.

Accompagnati da Ivano e dal suo garbo qui trovi la vera cucina Toscana. Conto onesto .un punto di riferimento per chi vuole trovare calore e sapore

Posto molto interessante, cucina tipica della zona, molto attento il cameriere (Cristian) sa fare il suo lavoro, bravi 😀
