Trattoria al Rifugio

Authentic local experience. The cousin is very traditional. Even for me that I'm from Florence. We enjoyed our dinner. The service was friendly and quick. The environment is cozy and welcoming. During hot seasons you can set outside on the balcony. Recommend

What a lovely restaurant! Real authentic Italian food. The local wine was so good that we came here twice in the 3 days that were here. Also the service was very nice. I will recommend a table outside, since it is a bit warm inside.

We had such an amazing diner. We loved the food and the waiters were very friendly. We saw so many nice dishes on the menu that we couldn’t choose. At the end we had to try 3 deserts and they where al top quality!
We would recommend this cozy restaurant to everyone.

We visited Manciano in the off-season and could always count on Il Rifugio to welcome us in for a delicious, hearty Tuscan meal. The interior is beautiful and feels like an elevated, modern wine cellar, and the staff here were all incredibly kind!

Absolutely fabulous lunch here yesterday. We sat on the terrace and shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio, bruschetta, ravioli, chicken tenders and grilled veggies. Great service, fantastic food and just a few steps from our villa.

Were directed to this trattoria by another restaurant as it was full, and it was really really good. All our food, starters, mains and deserts were very authentic and good. Place is serviced by two lovely ladies and the place seems to have just been renovated, very clean and lovely decor. Big surprise with the price, just €82 for two, the cheapest dinner we’ve had since we’ve been in Saturnia.

Wow! The food is amazing! We had perfectly friendly service, great wine, dishes to die for and outstanding espresso. We travelled Tuscany for three weeks and IL Rifugio made it to the top of our list. If you should find yourself near Manciano, I'd highly recommend going there for dinner.

My God this place is good. Just done with the Zucchini Fritters, startelle pasta and the homemade tortellini with meat sauce pasta, and each dish has been exquisite. I'm not even through my meal yet (secondi of the hunter style wild boar is about to come out, and haven't decided on a dessert yet) but I had to write this review lest I forget

All the dishes are fabulous and the price are reasonable. Especially the homemade pasta, funghi are perfect! Also the desert, which are big proportion and well-cooked, everything is perfect and hopefully there are always full.

We had a wonderful experience at Il Rifugio. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was absolutely fantastic and the wine was superb. It was slighly more expensive than other places we visited in Manciano but absolutely worth it. Thanks again for a great evening!
