My husband and I traveled from the US to Castelfiorentino this summer for our wedding at Il Grande Prato and our experience exceeded all hopes and dreams we had for our big day. We had the most unforgettable wedding experience at this stunning venue in Tuscany. Giulia, our wonderful host, played a pivotal role in making our dream day come true. From coordinating the stay of 40+ guests, to planning our rehearsal dinner and wedding day seamlessly to warmly welcoming our international guests, she and her attentive staff ensured that every detail was perfect.

Giulia's personal touch made everyone feel like cherished friends and family. Il Grande Prato encapsulated a home away from home, down to every detail. The property is inclusive of breathtaking scenery, gorgeous grounds and incredible food and company. Our wedding was a joyous celebration, and this stunning villa property provided the perfect backdrop for creating lifelong memories.

We are immensely grateful to Giulia, her family and staff for making our special day truly magical and we hope to return one day for another stay in the hills of Tuscany! Our family and friends will cherish the memories made here for a lifetime.

An incredibly special place. It has character, charm, amazing energy, and it’s surrounded by the most beautiful Tuscan countryside. The staff was so generous and kind, and the owner Giulia is a force. She goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable and taken care of. 10/10 recommend!

We held a 25 person company team retreat at Il Grande Prato and it was just perfect due to the charming farm that we had for ourselves, beautiful surroundings, great food, reasonable prices, flexible and kind support by Giulia and all the possibilities for team building activities and fun. A lot of heart and soul goes into Il Grande Prato and one gets sucked into this lovely family feeling and warmth very easily. No request was a problem for Giulia and everything ran super smooth. We were extremely happy and will try to come back for sure.

Our wedding at Il Grande Prato was all we could have hoped for. The staff are amazing and worked incredibly hard to accommodate last minute changes due to rain, but it worked out perfectly and our guests had a great time. The food is top notch and the rooms are all unique and comfortable. Highly recommended for any sort of groups or events such as a wedding.

We just enjoyed the most perfect family vacation at Il Grande Prato. It was truly a dream and was beyond our wildest expectations. After not seeing family since 2020 due to the pandemic we decided to have a large family vacation at Il Grande Prato and to take advantage of the opportunity to celebrate some events that we had missed as a group (such as marriages, birthdays, retirements, etc.). We had a detailed itinerary for the week prepared including themed dinners and excursions. The team at Il Grande Prato went above and beyond to accomodate all of our requests. We rented the entire location for seven nights for a group of around 45 people. My favorite memories (although every day was honestly magical) are the 'fancy' dinner we had one night where we hired a bartender and live band and danced the night away. The night that the cooking staff grilled meat and made pizzas outside was very impressive, not to mention delicious. Lastly, our time at the pool during the more relaxed days was great for just spending time with our loved ones in a beautiful place. Il Grande Prato itself is beautiful and impeccably designed. The surrounding area is also breathtaking. We had fun exploring wineries, castles, medieval cities, and restaurants in the area. 10/10, I would rate it higher if I could. Thank you, Giulia, for everything! I will never forget this trip.

I can’t say enough about this magical place! Giulia is so helpful and a wonderful host. The property itself is so special. I had a group of 22 and every room was lovely. The grounds are so beautiful with stunning views of the Tuscan countryside. And the food…. Oh my goodness the food! Absolutely delicious! I am dreaming of the next time I will be back. And I definitely will be. Thank you Giulia for everything!

This was simply pure perfection. The location, lodging, food and hospitality. We enjoyed our seven day stay. The pool was breathtaking and the grounds had little nooks and crannies to stake out. My favorite was a chair swing overlooking Tuscany Highly recommend a visit!!!!

We stayed in Italy for 4 weeks and this was the absolute best place where we stayed.
Il Grande Prato is a gorgeous farmhouse, beautifully renovated, offering endless amenities and romantic views.
The food was incredibly good, so fresh!
The staff was so courteous and attentive to every little need.
The rooms were impeccably clean and well taken care of.
But the real star of the show is Giulia, the owner, that will make you feel right at home.

My family has been there 2 times, once for a wedding and the other a birthday party. Both times we had about 15 to 20 people.
Grande Prato is fantastic, from the food to the true Tuscany ambience to the wonderful spectacular host. It’s a family run villa that takes care of their guests. They are very helpful in anything that you need from planning outings to wineries or just bringing you into town. Very comfortable accommodations spectacular breakfast, beautiful views, beautiful grounds and lots of activity. Highly recommend!

Feel very grateful to have found this place to spend my 30th birthday with my friends and family. The location is wonderful, in nature, surrounding by the beautiful tuscan hills. The house feels like home, all the people working there were very kind. We had the best time !
Bonus was the tennis court. Me and my 30 friends had a blast and a magical stay so thank you so much Il Grande Prato !

You can see the love and attention in every corner of the grounds.

The accommodations are full of charm and character. We stayed in the gypsy caravan, which was obviously built with care and craft. It smells like you are living in a lovely sauna... but there is air conditioning! (Be warned, it is hot in the summer as is all of Italy)

Giulia's daughter has an additional restaurant down the road with picturesque views and where we ate the best rabbit we have ever had.

If you are looking for warm, authentic Italian hospitality in a hidden gem full of magical charm, this is it.

Giulia and her staff were so wonderful to us during our fantastic Schultz Family 80th Birthday celebration that Don and Dianne hosted for 15 of us! Azura, Deborah and all the rest were attentive and always willing to step away from their duties to snap a BIG photograph! Thank you for you a lovely stay at your beautiful place! The memories we made will last forever and we will all give you high praise!!!!!

It was so special!! We loved the place, the people running it and everything around it! The daughter and son of the owners have a lovely restaurant close to the place with a wonderful view! so please do yourself a favour and spend your time there <3

Lovely little inn in a converted farmhouse, a real Tuscan B and B. Sumptuous dinners, tons of delightful little nooks and crannies for reading or enjoying the space, a refreshing saltwater Pool. The owner, Julia, made us feel utterly welcome and at home. A true triumph.

The food was truly amazing. The staff were top notch. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking to get away.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Il Grande Prato. We hosted our wedding there among 50+ of our closest friends and family- it was the best wedding we had ever been to, and it also happened to be our own. Giulia worked tirelessly to make exceed our expectations with every detail. We were not able to visit the location before our wedding, but Giulia thoughtfully provided all details and information we needed. In addition to being warm and welcoming, she laid out every detail in the most honest and forthcoming way so that we knew every amenity at our disposal and exactly what costs to anticipate and budget for.

Castelfiorentino is conveniently located 45 minutes southwest of Florence. The train delivered guests hourly into town and taxis were readily available to shuttle us to and from the villa. Castelfiorentino has all the amenities that anyone could need and Giulia is also very familiar with all local service providers- within minutes, she was able to arrange manicures and pedicures for 10 women at the main villa. I was impressed!

Within a 10-minute drive of the village center, we were driving through the lovely, quintessential rolling hills of Tuscany, surrounded by vineyards, olive tree groves and hilltops littered with old buildings as far as the eye could see. The panoramic views from the villa could not be beat. Basically, the villa location is perfect because it is very close to everything you need but outside of town enough to feel that you have escaped to the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

The food! Oh, the food! Don’t miss it.

I cannot speak more highly of Il Grande Prato, their attention to detail, the amazing vendors they use (who exceeded my expectations every single time), the beauty and serenity of the villa, and a wedding that could not be reproduced for any amount of money anywhere else on earth. Thank you!

Stayed for 5 days and could have stayed for 360 more, just to check out and in and repeat for next year. The place is the perfect getaway with a nice pool and nice apartments to live in.
