Reale stands as a culinary utopia shaped by the brilliance of Niko Romito. Within its confines, each of The dishes were simple yet packed with rich flavors. Every ingredient in the plate makes its presence known, an unparalleled experience.

But what stands out the most is the people working at Casadonna Reale , warm , kind & Generous.

This meal truly illustrated the fact that simplicity is not simple. Chef Niko is able to use vegetables, and each dish only based on a few ingredients, but created many powerful and outstanding dishes. I was very sceptical in the beginning when I saw the menu, but my concern was unwarranted.

Stunning food in a stunning hotel in lovely surroundings. The kinda place you can just spend the day soaking in your surroundings, not doing very much and just feeling lucky to have eaten such a fantastic meal.

Progressive food without necessarily being too boundary pushing. But very tasty. The tasting menu will leave you absolutely stuffed.

Wines are quite expensive - as you'd expect.

The best of the best, every detail is planned, the waiters are perfectly trained they know exactly what they are serving and can even recommend the way you have to eat it. The food was spectacular no more stars to give.

Very good cuisine in the southest European 3 michelin stars. The specialties are more vegetarian and I personally advise the degustation menu. You can also find fish and meat at A la Carte. The place is elegant and the personnel is very professional.

A food destination above all other destinations. Niko has created a top notch restaurant, chef's academy, and hotel in Castel di Sangro. You can't beat the food or the service. It's worth the trip and then some.

Hands down the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Absolutely divine tasting menu and stunning location. Perfection at every turn. The capellini in tomato water is the best thing I’ve ever eaten. I can’t wait to come back and stay the night 🖤

A unique dining experience that helps you discover well known ingredients in a new way. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful and done with taste and simplicity. The service is really professional and organised, as one would expect from a restaurant of such status. We went for the set menu, which turned out to be vegan, as far as I noticed. While we were a little bit sceptical about the absence of meat dishes, the menu was varied and interesting, each dish generally showcasing one or two ingredients and doing so in an excellent and unconventional way. I really appreciated that the chef really focused on bringing the flavours and not just the presentation to the front of every dish. While a range of techniques were used, they always seemed to be a means of opening up the ingredient rather than a show off of chef’s skills. The flavours were intensified and not hidden, I often found myself impressed by the flavour of ingredients that I usually found rather lacking, like watermelon. I also particularly enjoyed the presence of a dish, fully consisting of onions, as I find that this amazing ingredient often gets neglected somewhat. Bread was one of the main focuses of the chef too. While I found it very good, it didn’t feel extraordinary, despite being chef’s signature dish. Overall, this was really a unique experience that I would recommend to anyone interested in food. Finally, the hotel stay is excellent and the price is a bargain for what you get.

At the end of the world, but worth the trip. Excellent value for money, great wine list and friendly staff! Happy to come back whenever possible and many thanks to the team!

This is an immersive amazing experience. One of the best meals I have had in my life. I hardly feel qualified to comment. Clearly masters, every detail was perfect. I really appreciated the instruction on how to eat each dish to get the most out of the experience. The descriptions, ingredients, and significance were well explained also.

Chef Niko is a master of his own category. Sometimes dishes find themselves on the menu and I don’t know how. His craft and innovation is admired but please please please, don’t rush with including some dishes; namely the fish (I think it was a halibut in 2019) and please drop the garlic oil in the new menu . Besides the great food and minimalistic decor and the great friendly service, they have the best bread in the world; make sure to sleep at the hotel and have the bread more than once.

Absolutely stunning meal. Everything was perfect and their vegetable tasting menu was full of creativity, flavor and taste. The only thing to be aware of is the add on meat dishes are pretty small. They are only 30 euros so I’m not complaining but had I known I would have gotten another because they were so good.

3* Michelin restaurants are super rare. Reale does not disappoint. The explanations for each course were given in English and the food was exquisite. We are not drinkers so I cannot speak to the wine service. I hope to go again before I leave Castel di Sangro.

We had a fanstastic stay. Staff males you feel welcome and is very helpful. Dinner was top class. A beautiful balanced experience between fancy and true geniune talian kitchen. Chef there os doing a excellent job in taking good basic italian flavours and composition to a whole new level. Thanks.

Let's start by saying this was the best meal of my life, Reale is outstanding in any department but the food goes beyond that. The dishes are spectacular, beautiful, sophisticated but most importantly delicious . If you love food and you are close by not visiting this place is an eresy!

Beautiful decor which is spacious yet warm. The service was proper but also very friendly. Most importantly the food was amazing and didn't disappoint. Quite simply an under-rated restaurant.
