Spectacular meal and dining experience- You will thank yourself for following this review and dropping in for a meal. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable and the Farm to Fork food was simply delicious. Recommend the stuffed zucchini flowers, pasta Sagrantino and any of the Steak preparation

Ok..this is one of the best steak we had for a long time . For 55 euro you can get a kilo of grass fed beef . The meat is tender , full of flavor and soft.
Excellent service and fun atmosphere

One of the best T-Bone fiorentina I ever had. The tagliata di manzo con tartufi is also very good, and the grilled porcini and the roasted peppers are a must. Compliment this with a great Sagrantino and you’re set for an unforgetable evening. Kudos to Walter for his menu reccomandations. Do call ahead for a reservation, the place is always full.

Carnivore friendly, fantasic local beef, amazing service, most comfortable dining room in Montefalco (balcony=amazing), and wine list. I can't think of a single thing to hold them back.

Great restaurant in Montefalco, just a few meters from the main road in the old town. Large menu to choose from and many daily specialties. The dishes where very tasty and especially well styled. I would recommend the (fiorentina) steak or T-bone, our steak for 2 persons was served on a hot stone so it would remain hot for a long time. Definitely a restaurant which you should visit once.

We chose Ristorante Il Coccorone for our weekly Umbrian lunch visit. We were very pleased with the experience and especially the food. The coperto is correct (3 Euro per person) with an assortment of breads that were very tasty. I had the Pappardelle al Sagrantino, which was very hearty. My wife had the Bistecca which was made to perfection. With the assortment of salts along with the pepper it was something even I could eat and want more of (I'm not one to eat beef). Contorno included patate brace and cicoria. The dessert was a crostata with figs that was arguably the best crostata I've ever had. It was made in house and just melted in your mouth. The half liter caraffe of wine was also appropriately priced (6 Euro) and was a very good red wine paired with both dishes. Overall, I would not only recommend dining here to anyone but would also come back to try other dishes. Lastly, the staff was very professional, friendly, and attentive.

Excellent restaurant, impeccable service and best t-bone steak I have ever had, with local Sagrantino Montefalco Goretti

Absolutely fantastic! The service is great and attentive. We ordered the Sagrantino pasta which was really something special. After that we had the Steak cooked on an open fire - you won’t regret it! Locally sourced and cooked with respect to the quality of the meat. Truly a fantastic kitchen!

Excellent food. The best dining we had in Umbria. Order the fiorentine steak that they cook on an open fire. Wow. And the truffle pasta, crostinis and taramisu. Walter and his staff were excellent hosts. Friendly. Warm and just made sure we had a great time. Ambiance is elegant and welcoming and without pretension at the same time. Make a reservation.

Great place! The waiter suggested house specialities/ zucchini’s flowers as appetizer and beef steak for 2 main course …absolutely delicious!! Also, excellent Trento Doc. Strongly recommending the restaurant and region!!

We stopped by for lunch and not only was it wonderful, delicious, succulent, but the staff had the Queen's funeral on the TV. It was very emotional and they were very kind.

A lovely little spot in Montefalco. A traditional experience. We went for lunch. The pasta with White truffle was lovely. The tartar was so siky smooth. Excellent service. Perfect after a mornings wine tasting in one of the local vinyards of the city.

Best overall dining experience we had in Italy. Food was delicious (eggs with truffles, mixed bruschetta, stuffed gnocchi, Chianini steak - best I have ever had, and strawberry gelato/tort/cream dessert), the ambiance is high class but welcoming and without pretension, and Walter and his staff (all smiling) took such wonderful care of us. From start to finish, this was a 10.

Located just below the center of the main plaza, Il Coccorone lives up to it's billing as a great Florentine steakhouse with homemade pasta. 2" thick cuts of the finest steaks prepared over an open flame, get yours served in the local style; with Italian salt and olive oil drizzled on top--a taste sensation so pleasurable you will try to repeat at home for your friends. The wine list is extensive but when you simply order a bottle of the house wine, you will be served a local Montefalco red wine that promises to compliment your dinner.

Decor and service was terrific. Their beef was cut and cooked to perfection. Good wine list with many local wineries represented.
