This food is amazing! Umbrian truffles, good portions, and notes of Venetian tradition, too. The maialino was incredible. And the house wine Níspero I loved. Higher prices than other Perugian restaurants but worth it.

Yes, the menu is only in Italian (the owner doesn’t speak English) and it’s not the usual pizza/pasta stuff but a bit of work with a guidebook will give you a clue as to what you’re eating.

The portions are not large - but there’s a good choice of pasta and antipasti. We thought prices were good and the food excellent. I had the maialino (pork) with truffle slices which was spectacular!

The wine list is short with a lot of local wines and well priced, with a lot of choice in the low €20s.

Service was by the owner, I think, who seemed to know everyone, so service can be a bit slow, but friendly.

We loved it and if you want something authentically Italian, give it a try.

We had a small but delicious lunch here. Scrambled eggs with truffles to start and then delicious pasta as a primo. I am sure we will come back for dinner soon.

A wonderful local restaurant a short walk away from the Centro Storico. Rustic and homey with the owner serving us. We were the only Americans having lunch there. Homemade pastas and a wonderful artichoke flan. Menu is only in Italiano, but with Google translate you can figure it out as the owner does not speak English.

Once we mastered the escalator system we were free to explore local neighborhoods. Luckily artichokes were still in season and with the truffles, we were in heaven. This is the special touch you get in local, family restaurants and should be the reason for travel. The roast pork with polenta was fabulous and with a side of artichokes. Add in a glass of local white wine and the evening was set. Everything is italian, but Google Translate will get you enough words to navigate the menu and staff. You will not be sorry - very far from it.

Atmosfera unica in questa deliziosa locanda a soli dieci minuti dalla piazza principale. Nostra tappa fissa a pranzo quando passiamo per Perugia. Piatti veramente ricercati consigliati solo a palati fini. Da segnalare il maialino arrosto e il sublime unicorno alle nocciole ricotta siciliana zenzero e cannella. Ottimi vini conto nella norma consigliatissimo.

Siamo stati accolti con grande gentilezza e cordialità, il tavolo riservato era in ottima posizione. Il proprietario, che è anche il Maitre di sala, ci ha saputo consigliare e descrivere i cibi molto bene. E' stato molto sensibile nei confronti della intolleranza all'aglio di mia moglie. Da segnalare il "Cicchetto alla Veneziana" ed i "Canederli alle rape rosse", ma degni di nota anche le "Fettuccine al Ragout Bianco" ed il "Baccalà alla Veneta". Ottima l'atmosfera e buona la scelta dei vini. Ci tornerò.

Molto buono, una vera esperienza,peccato le piccole porzioni, vi consiglio un bel aperitivo prima di andare a cena, però buono davvero

Zo'n lekker (jong) varkensvlees gerecht heb ik nog nooit gegeten!
Maialino al forno, con crema di salsiccia , e tartufo nero a scaglie, zo heet het gerecht. Echt een aanrader!
Naast lekker eten, is er ook een ruime keuze aan heerlijke wijnen.
In het centrum van de mooie ruim 2500 (!) jaar oude stad Perugia is dit gezellige restaurant gevestigd.
Personeel & eigenaar zijn heel vriendelijk en gastvrij, zoals het hoort 😉

Posto piacevolissimo che dispone di ottimo vino e ottimo cibo, il tutto viene accompagnato dall'estro di Mario, proprietario della locanda, metà perugino e metà veneziano, che con la sua simpatia rende la cena ancora più gradevole! Torneremo sicuramente!!

Locale molto carino ed accogliente. Il proprietario e la signora molto carini e disponibili. Buoni gli antipasti ed i primi. Abbiamo assaggiato anche i dolci molto buoni. Consigliato

Locanda molto accogliente e originale nel suo arredo. Il proprietario è molto cordiale premuroso e attento alla sua clientela. Si mangia divinamente, consiglio i carnederli di rape rosse con salsa di formaggio, la tagliata di manzo e la zuppa inglese alla veneziana con aggiunta di panna. Tutto super buonissimo 🤗❤💯

Atmosfera molto piacevole, il proprietario è davvero gentile e il personale molto educato. Il cibo è molto buono e la lista dei vini è ancora migliore.
Merita assolutamente una visita!
