My favourite Medieval city..The Manhattan of Middle Age. Especially at night ,the scenery and the atmosphre are unique.Violin music on the air, small cafes and restaurants on every street.. Magic!
During morning hours, you can have your Aperol in the main Square and visit the "Museo della Tortura",if you can stand the..artifacts!

One of the multiple "Francigena" stop towns that it is worth to visit. (Even if you are not a "pellegrino")

Stay the night and you will enjoy the medieval town having nice wines as "apero", dining. (Discover what is the "Chianti Tuna", It doesn't have chianti nor Tuna)

Mornings with only few souls walking around.

Look for the medieval cakes! - (Get close to the guides to find out what I'm talking about)

Beautiful piazza in San Gimignano in southwest toscana. The parking is available in a few main car parks and you pay on leaving. Good places to see and places to eat and drink

A beautiful medieval square, which is the centre of the UNESCO heritage site. Everywhere you look there is an ancient building or a tower. Photo opportunities abound.

Ok, shortly speaking - this is one of the most beautiful places we have visited in Tuscany!😁 Built on the hill with a breathtaking view from the very top of the city walls is a must see place - you will not be disappointed. Just small tip, pay attention where you want to eat, the choice is quite nice, but not every place is worth spending your money in.

San Gimignano is just beautiful. Simply put. Go for the small medieval town and history, stay for the food and gelato. Careful though tons of shopping and the owners will bargain, so you might spend a pretty penny on some great stuff (like my wife did 😁). Also do your self a favor and climb the tower, worth the price just for the view alone.

Beautiful place.. quaint town. Please give some time for shopping the quaint shops and the cobbled roads are beautiful. Take some pictures at the panoramic point and do try the gelato at Dolindi gelateria..

It was just a quick stop for me, but the autumn Tuscan sky, the little streets, the gelato and the calmness of the visitors made it incredibly pleasant! It was on my list to visit and I am glad I got the chance to be there on a sunny day!

Happened in to San Gimignano in the early evening. It was rainy and chilly but that did not deter our immediate love for this town! It is beautiful, quaint and filled with atmosphere. Perfect! Will visit here again for a longer stay

Central square for one of the most unique places we visited during our trip to Italy. Interesting history around competing families and building increasingly taller and taller towers. Would have been amazing to see in its full glory before towers were reduced. Great ice cream and views across Tuscany too.

The San Gimignano town is little, and you can visit it in a short time. We arrived early before all the tourist busses or visitors appeared, in the main street there are many stores and some galleries. We found a few museums where they showed the torture chambers. At the center there is a food market, which I think is focused more on the locals rather than tourists.

The view from the top castle overlooks the hills of Tuscany where many farms and villas are located.

Surreal, out of a dream kind of place!
A lively plazza by the day with the hustle bustle of tourists, countless ristorantes & shops and perfect bliss & peace by the night with people strolling like they are part of some play!
Absolutely charmed!!

It is another tourist attraction in the beautiful Tuscany region. and only take 1 day to see them all. The weather is great in summer. You can see the scenery from a high angle.

Beautiful and quaint town known for its towers. Walking through transports you back in time to a slower, quieter and friendlier time. Lots of shops and restaurants around each nook. High enough to overlook the Chianti region.

If you happen to visit certain dates make sure to check if the tower is open for visitation. Best 5 euros you will spend to see the entire medieval town and tuscan fields from above !

Lovely and painteresque little town.

It is quite difficult to get a parking so don’t loose your patience while searching, try to move further away from the entrance of the town where it is more crowded.

Very beautiful frescos in this cathedral. The cathedral homes the one of the rarest depiction of the creation of Eve from Adam. This can be found on ur right facing the main entrance, high up the beginning of part of the wall which tells of the events from the old testament. The other portrays some events of the life of Christ. You can fine also the paintings and frescos of the life of St. Fina. Also the frescos of the plague in the 13th centuries.
A very beautiful church to visit.
