Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, Portofino

Portofino was the first destination for our trip to Italy last month. Arriving at Splendido after an incredibly long day of travel was absolutely incredible. The views from check in (and our room, and the restaurant, and the gym) are absolutely stunning! The room was cozy and well equipped with a dyson blow dryer and the service throughout our stay was top notch. The breakfast buffet at Belmond hotels is always something that I look forward to and this was no exception. My only note would be that our room was right above the bar area so we could hear the music in the evening until about 12/1 in the morning from our room. If this is something that would be bothersome you may want to request a room further from the bar when you make your reservation.

I had lunch here and it’s much more prettier than the pictures. The view is unreal. The ambiance is dreamy. The staff all around the hotel is very professional, friendly and kind. The food doesn’t make the priority :) but it was delicious.

One of the best hotels and the restaurant I have ever been. Actually the Terrazza Restaurant at the top deserves the Applause.

The risotto ( Carnaroli Rice With Burrata Cream and Prawns Crudité) was incredible. The rice was cooked so well to be firm to the bite.(The real Al dente) I will never forget this taste.

The Trofie From Recco which has been made with pesto which is directly coming from Prà and the 30 months ages reserve permesan(Vacche Rosse) topping was excellent.

Also the Grilled Swordfish Medallion in Pistachio Crust was unforgettably tasty. Deep fried baby Zucchini at the topping is to die for.

The service and the hospitality was excellent. The staff is unbelievably friendly. Especially our waiter was a real professional and very kind. I will come here again for sure.

Without a doubt one of the best hotels in the world. At Splendido you can expect: jaw-dropping views from every angle, vibrant flower beds lining each outdoor path, one of the most memorable breakfast buffets, stylish rooms, kind staff and an iconic infinity pool which overlooks Portofino. Even if you don’t end up staying, highly recommend visiting for an aperitivo on their terrace!

Dreamy luxury with amazing service. Every member of staff treated us like royalty. Rooms were incredibly comfortable and the pool was beautiful looking over Portofino. Had the most amazing breakfast with delicious pesto. Absolutely would stay again. Paradise

There are few hotels in Portofino but for sure this hotel is top one,,,
It’s under renovation for few year but they will manage to be open during the season,,

This place is beyond amazing, the staff are unbelievably costumer oriented. They arranged a special table in the garden when I proposed to my wife, and made everything unforgettable. After the proposal the whole hotel sang and danced together to an amazing entertainer.

My fiancé and I have been traveling through Italy for the past 30 days, staying at some of their very best properties.

We have no issues with spending money, but we aren’t reckless and trust that the experience will match the price level.

We loved everything about this hotel and its attention to detail is first class and everyone there makes you feel so special. The room we had had the most incredible view and we absolutely adored sleeping under the stars, with our window open, taking in the Mediterranean vibe.

We swam at their pool, had a memorable brunch at their cliff side restaurant and the food matched the gorgeous vista. We also had the hotel arrange for a sunset cruise and we highly recommend this as seeing Portofino from the sea is awe inspiring. We went to Puny after the boat ride to see a quiet Positano in the evening and ended at the piano bar at the hotel.

We detoured a few hours from our Tuscany travels to go here and it was worth it! Wow!

One of the best hotels we ever stayed in. the views and the location is just astonishing and you can easily capture your life in this dolce vita dream. the level of service, the rooms, and the amenities ( did I mention the pool?) were amazing.
the breakfast, and the dinner by the sunset at the deck overlooking the amazing Portofino port.

this was a dream. Hopefully, we can go back after the pandemic. this was great! and expensive.

make sure you try the pesto "Ligurian" pasta.

The hotel is a romantic dreamer, stunning with amazing views of the sea and beautiful view of portofino. The staff is on a friendly level, the suites are luxurious in Italian style, spacious and very clean, ideal for a relaxing break, I highly recommend it.

We visited the Splendido in June 2020 for 3 nights, shortly after they re-opened. What a treat! The hotel grounds are beautiful and the team here is absolutely brilliant. The rooms are spotless and the amenities from the pool to the shuttle service to town are fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Portofino.

If you prefer the view and more amenities such as the workout room and pool right at your finger tips, stay at this location rather than the one in town. Both are amazing and there is a shuttle taking you between the two. While we stayed at the one in town, we took time to have drinks one afternoon on the terrace and dinner one night. The view is surreal. Regardless of where you stay in Portofino, you must visit this hotel. The food was good, but my pasta was more aldente than I prefer. Otherwise, it was perfection.

Nestled above Portofino, the Belmond Hotel gives you the best of everything that this village has to offer.

You could enjoy the breathtaking and exquisite views from the restaurant or outdoor lounge area while enjoying great Italian cuisine.
(It is very advisable to book in advance to dine in the restaurant)

Enjoy a swim in their sea water pool with amazing views or have a stroll in the small village by taking the hotel bus shuttle which is very convenient.

The staff and the service is incredible both in the hotel and the restaurant.

It could be tricky to find the hotel as you have to drive up a narrow winding road, just before reaching the village of Porofino there will be a small road on the right which takes you up to the hotel.

Incredible views of the sea and surrounding area, you can spend days in the hotel without leaving! Great restaurants, pool and spa. Excellent service. Shuttle is available to take you down to the port and back to the hotel. Ideal for spending a short special romantic occasions.

Probably the best view of Portofino from here. Beautiful view and garden.

Good room quality and great services with convenient shuttle bus services all day long to the town center.

We also had a very good dinner here with exceptional view before dark. Daily catch baked in 5 different salts was excellent for us.

Visited after a cruise ended in Genoa on the 17 October Lovely hotel perched on the hillside overlooking Portofino harbour.

Had a tour. Obviously a high standard, though cheapest room much smaller than anticipated.

Enjoyed a couple of drinks watching the world go by. Just so relaxing..... Though the drink prices matched... Only to be expected

Beautiful setting. Awesome place for an evening meditation in a tacked away terraced olive grove turned into a lounge area with views to die for. The mix of the sea waves sound and violin from the hotel terrace made it all unforgettable!

We have just arrived for a five day break to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary and the staff and management are wonderful. This place is special and welcomes you with open arms. Well done so far this is an excellent experience.
