Gelateria La Via Lattea Dormelletto

Really loved the icecream. Many choices with good tastes. And a really nice owner who gave us many advice where to go. Offered us a ride to the city. Here is also an gelateria from the same owner. When in this area, eat your ice here. Best in town! (And maybe whole Italy 🤭)

Great Ice cream and Granita (half-frozen Citrus Lemonade) can be had here. Don’t be fooled by the not-so-nice location and parking lot in front which can be off-putting. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed! 😀

The best ice cream place! Tastyer Ice Cream what I ever Eat traveled 10years around the Italy. The team is positive all days in all ways, english speaking very good! Kids friendly!

Fabulous ice cream. At least 30 flavours to choose from. The young man serving also.spoke excellent English and would let you try a flavour before you chose one. Highly recommended and not over priced 2 scoops for €3.

This is our favorite gelato place in all of Italy! Creamy, homemade, fresh, and always unique flavors…if you ever visit Arona, you MUST visit La Via Lattea! P.S they also sell the most delicious cannoli!

Very good ice cream. We came back for more 5 or 6 times the week we stayed in Dormeletto. We tried other gelaterias in Arona, but this was always the best! 🤩

I've travelled a lot in Italy and this is some of the best gelato I've ever had. I tried yoghurt fruiti di bosco, straciatella, tiramisu, caramel salt peanuts and panna cotta and they were all fantastic. The place is newly renovated with clean, modern decor that's nice and cool which makes it a great place to relax when it's hot outside. If you love gelato then this is a must stop if you're anywhere in the area.

After living in Italy for 2 years now I'd say I'm becoming a professional gelato eater, so finding a good gelateria is absolutely essential. I totally love it at La Via Lattea, the selection of choices are fantastic with new flavours all the time, the prices are great, the staff absolutely amazing, shame I'm limited to just 5 stars, by far the best gelato in the area and beyond. Would highly recommend!
PS - great for tourists, the level of English spoken there is to a high standard too!

The most amazing Gelateria for miles in any direction. Great staff that were helpful and very friendly. This place also had many different desserts of all kinds that looked spectacular.
