Esselunga Superstore Arona

The Walmart of Italy, but it never fails. Expats will feel comfortable and well taken care of. Economical, but with a variety of quality food and household products. Great wine section too!

A very big Esselunga store, without doubt the best in the area, not only of that part of Piemonte but also of neighbouring region of Lombardy. The closest one in Lombardy is the one of Sesto Calende which is also good but significantly smaller.
Here you can find a wide variety of all kinds of products, there is a section for selling ready meals, fish section, meat section, cheese section etc, etc.
What is best though, is the selection of wines, which in my opinion is by far the best you can find at a supermarket.
Finally, there is a large parking area so there won't be any problem parking your vehicle.

Great place and found every thing under the same roof. Only one thing which gave me shock, that I could not find the ice cubes from here, neither from no where in italy. I have visited italy twice but was not abke to buy ice cubes from local to super market.

It's a nice supermarket, you'll find large selection of quality products, from fresh fruits to veggies, from housewares to toys for kids, meat products, they have everything, prices here are a bit higher than other supermarket but you'll find other affordable products. Parking area available.

Largest and best quality supermarket in a wide area around the southern tip of the Lago Maggiore. Very large choice of products and fast growing range of vegetarian and vegan ones.

Soooo many choices. Lovely groceries shopping place. The vegetables and the meat sections are big and lots of choices.
