Il Vecchio Frantoio

I have no words to describe how amazing our experience was! The host welcomed us warmly and prepared an amazing dinner even though we were the only clients in the hotel and the cook was away. Very authentic experience. The location is superb. I highly recommend the hike in the mountain above the property.

Lovely authentic accommodation on the edge of Madonie. What views to wake to. It was exactly what we needed for our trip (3days on bikes across the island) but ultimately pretty simple offering. Bedrooms are comfortable if a little basic. So too food and wine. But all in all a great time was had here and I’d happily recommend.

Was staying at a friends in the area who recommended this place for dinner. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and kind. When we came for dinner we did a prix fix and the food just kept coming — all delicious. Beautiful grounds + space. Would definitely stay here if we are ever in the area again. Thanks to the kind hosts!

We enjoyed a warm welcome and a copious and delicious evening meal after taking a dip in the pool at the end of a long day's walking. Great location among ancient olive groves.

Lovely converted olive mill and farm buildings set at the top of a hill with great views all around. Staff are very helpful and offer great service. Restaurant is also very good and quite inexpensive.

After a six week driving holiday in Sicily this was our favourite place handsdown! An 18th century farmhouse set in the mountains, it was a sea of Tranquility after the madness that permeates most of Sicily. The restaurant is amazing, no menu or confusion trying to translate it, they just bring out whatever they have prepared and it is all simply incredible. They have some beautiful dogs that wander through the dining room as well, I think all restaurants should have a dog! Like the others our only regret was that we only spent two nights there. An incredibly cheap holiday but what wonderful memories! Adam and Isabel😀

By far one of the nicest, most friendly stays we had in all of Sicily. The couple running the hotel was always available for help or a good tip, the facility is very clean and the rooms are made every day.
The dinner was outstanding, the portions are huge and all of it was tasty! The cook is a great guy!
We can highly recommend staying here, take some time to hike in the national park and enjoy Il Vecchio! Thank you for a wonderful time!

A marvellous place in the Parco delle Madonie area. Mountain views, clean air, beautiful well-kept building, delicious food, lovely staff, it's an agriturismo of superior quality! Both breakfast and dinner were amazing. Very good value for money. We can't wait to be back!

Beautiful location.Immersed in nature. Beautiful rooms. And a very good mini bar fridge which was very important to us since we have a 2 year old child who drinks only fresh milk.

Beautiful and very large old farmhouse, great meals, perfectly situated in the Madonie region!

If you wanna make a little time travel, choose this hotel. You will feel like in the 16-17th century and will love it. An extra is the view from your window in the morning, in the evening. If you order dinner, be very hungry :D

Abbiamo pranzato al Vecchio Frantoio perché eravamo di passaggio.
È stata una piacevole scoperta, in quanto la cucina ha i tipici sapori della tradizione siciliana (i miei nonni palermitani facevano una caponata così deliziosa) e la struttura è immersa nella natura incontaminata del parco delle Madonie.
Abbiamo scelto il menù fisso con antipasto, primi e secondo a 30€/persona.
Sicuramente un posto in cui vale la pena anche soggiornare. Speriamo di riuscire a farlo prima o poi.

Consiglio questo posto per chi ama immergersi nella natura. Camere ben curate, esterno incantevole.. optate per il menu fisso.. cibo di altissima qualità.

Il posto è bellissimo, tutto (tutto!) il personale molto gentile e disponibile per qualunque richiesta, regna la tranquillità e la pulizia, dalle stanze al ristorante alla piscina. Abbiamo fatto colazione, pranzi e cene e tutti i piatti erano genuini, molto saporiti e ben preparati. L'unico problema, per me che guido solo in città e in autostrada, è stata la stradina privata per raggiungere l'agriturismo perché è abbastanza impervia (ma ho visto salire anche pullmini).

Un posto stupendo, in una bellissima zona della Sicilia. Un oasi di pace e serenità, abbiamo passato giorni tranquilissimi con tutta la famiglia. La piscina è stata l‘attrazione principale per i bambini, mentre noi adulti ci siamo goduti il silenzio e il panorama. Le camere sono arredate con il necessario, ma di buon gusto, senza estravaganza. Il giardino e ben curato, la ristorazione di buon livello, lo chef molto disponibile e venire incontro anche le richieste particolari. Tutto il personale è stato gentilissimo, di grande cortesia. Ritorniamo di sicuro.
