La Gritta

Portofino, situated on the Italian Riviera coastline southeast of Genoa, is a quaint fishing village. During the winter season, most shops are closed, but we enjoyed a leisurely stroll nonetheless. We stumbled upon a charming restaurant called Lagritta, where we indulged in spaghetti with squid ink, seafood spaghetti, pizza, and cappuccino. To our surprised, the food was incredibly delicious, especially the squid ink spaghetti, which featured fresh ingredients and wonderfully sweet shrimp. Additionally, the cappuccino was a standout, perhaps the best we've had since arriving in Italy.

This restaurant has been underrated. We understand the pricy sense but the food was excellent and super fresh. The most important thing for seafood was its freshness, and we found it here. The servers were super friendly and helpful. The beautiful view from the dock was a plus, too.

Very comfortable, we were offered a lovely shaded outdoor table and plush chairs on their floating dining room in the marina. Everything was delicious and we were not rushed by our friendly attentive waiter, even though the town was crazy busy. I highly recommend. We loved every minute and every bite. Grazie mille 😘🥰💚🤍❤

We were thirsty after hours of hiking and sat down in for some drinks. The seat cushions were really comfortable so we desired to actually eat and enjoy the great view for longer. The local white wine is perfect for the climate and the food. The fish was flavorful and tender, and the Ligurian trofie pasta al pesto a perfect compliment. The tiramisu was perfect, not too sweet but packed with flavor.

I was impressed the first day so I came back the next day too. Really awesome house cocktails. The prices are quite steep as some have noted (30-35eur for one cocktail) but it does include some great "aperitivo" snacks alongside great cocktails, and it is in a really premium location. The staff was nice and efficient despite a lot of traffic.

Nice appetizers, great pasta and very nice staff. Excellent wine. I don’t understand the low rating.

We were treated promptly and courteous. The staff very professional and prepared. Comfortable seating with gorgeous views. Authentic and very fresh seafood dishes. Nicely presented and delicious. Totally worth it. So glad we chose this restaurant. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Stumbled into this restaurant before looking at rating and SO glad I did. Food was great, as was the service and enjoyed the music and views! Highly recommend the fresh fish Liguria style!!

We visited here during our day in Portofino and we are so pleased we chose La Gritta. We were made extremely welcome even though we were only buying drinks and not a full meal. The owner was a very nice man who treated us just the same as the rather Richer guests. Our waitress, Mira was a very lovely young lady who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The place is charming and in the perfect spot on the quayside. We really hope to visit again in the future.

The service was kinda mid, the food was so delicious, but a little expensive, and the view was awesome 🤩🤩🤩

Expensive but nice atmosphere just right next to the water and the food was good too.

Incredible setting on a floating dock (super clean), cocktails were impressive and the snacks they provided (free of charge) with the cocktails were the best we’ve had in Italy.

It's a bit expensive. Coctails are 18 euro, but i'm sure you won't need more than one :)
Food was also very tasty and staff is so friendly.

Lovely people, nice food and of course, Portofino price but what are you expecting?

No complaints. Food, wine and desert was was great! If your expecting cheap prices in Portofino you need to reset expectations. Had catch of the day, lobster fettuccine, and pesto lassania. Catch of the day would be my recommendation for anyone but all three were very good. Look at the menu for prices. I was 5 feet from the water! Never had Panna cotta before but I want it everyday now! Staff was great and spoke english...its europe so speak up if you are not use to service here.

This was our go-to for after dinner drinks in Portofino. Super friendly staff, great ambience, excellent cocktails, highly reccomended!

very good . Of course such good location means high prices. If you cannot afford , don't seat there. It is not for poor people. I am very satisfied with my visit there. I ordered several dishes
