Castle of Baccaresca

It really is what it appears to be and the staff are absolutely the best people who work hard for the guests. They do speak some English. The entire grounds are gorgeous. The elegant restaurant is a little expensive but very good and they will go to lengths to create a meal. Considerations are- the continental breakfast does not have much for vegetarians, you will need a car to get there, the turret rooms are not heated so not useful in winter, and the mini refrigerator is tiny; just enough for a few drinks. We actually removed the soft drinks the hotel provides :)

Wonderful place, very quiet and peaceful. Perfect for a getaway. The hotel is lovely and the staff was very welcoming. The food was excellent as well.

This is an amazing location in the middle of Umbria. A lot of history in a awesome place. Relax, swim and sun, one of the best place in my country.

Great experience! Located off the beaten path of today's hustle and bustle, the staff here will treat you professionally and friendly. The rooms are cozy and the lower level restaurant is top notch with a five star feel and great food and service. Know some basic Italian and visit this castle and country side surroundings.

My dad and I really enjoyed this hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is isolated in the country, which we really enjoyed. For some reason google thinks this is a fake review, so here's a photo we took while there.

If I could give it 10 Stars, it would be a more accurate rating. The staff was always accommodating & friendly, the food exquisite, and the quality of the castle & rooms made us feel like royalty. The pool and spa were world class, the views & grounds breathtakingly gorgeous.

This place is quite old. It is a legit Caste, refurbished nicely, in a breathtaking country setting. It contains a tonne of history. It is not the hustle and bustle of the big cities you may want to see but it is lovely. Warm months as usual would be optimal, but it is still stunning in cooler months. You can hike nearby, taste wine, there is a town nearby that is famous for ceramics that you can visit. The castle is driving distance from many famous attractions, for taking day trips. The hotel restaurant serves delicious food and wine too and the staff is wonderful. We loved Mossimo, the night time attendent.

A great place for a quite stay in central Umbria, the heart of Italy. It’s countryside is stunning, the people wonderful, the hotel is exceptionally clean, some great food, excellent staff, hill top location is great for views and so close to the fantastic hill top towns of Assisi or Gubbio. Can’t recommend highly enough. 6 Star.........

I had the pleasure of staying at the Castello di Baccaresca with my fiancée when we were looking for a venue for our wedding. The rooms were both comfortable and spacious and the food of the hotel’s restaurant was outstanding, particularly the truffle-based dishes. The director of the hotel was incredibly helpful and gave us a tour of all the rooms and outdoors spaces we could have for our wedding reception in. It’s perfect for weddings as there are many rooms that guests can stay in. Moreover, the surroundings are beautiful, covered with forests and close to the medieval town of Gubbio. I wholeheartedly recommend staying there, and thank the director and staff for being so attentive to us and for making our stay so enjoyable.

The castle is beautiful and the views simply breathtaking. We had a warm welcome from Gabriella and excellent service and food in the beautiful restaurant. We spent 5 nights at the castle exploring Umbria and I would say a car is a necessity. Umbria is absolutely stunning!

Sweet, romantic castle with a great staff, very comfortable rooms and excellent food. We were there in November the outside activities were shut down. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect hotel well curated in all particulates and details. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only the pool could be to small if it's to crowded. They should have built a little bit bigger.

We slept in the castles tower. How's that for cool. Dinner was so so but breakfast is good.

Ogni cosa nel Castello di Baccaresca è curato nei dettagli. Senza ombra di dubbio è il posto ideale per trascorrere qualche giorno nella piena tranquillità e comfort. La camera in cui abbiamo soggiornato era pulita, fresca e silenziosa. Nella struttura è possibile accedere alla piscina che è incastonata nel verde ed è servita dal bar. Tutt'intorno alla struttura corre un percorso di un paio di chilometri per fare una passeggiata immerso nella natura. Davvero un posto da sogno che riporta gli ospiti indietro nel tempo.

Abbiamo soggiornato questo week end del 27 e 28 luglio, una notte due giorni magici, splendidi. Che dire camera molto pulita e ben distribuita, il bagno molto curato e pulito. La struttura molto bella, il ristorante fantastico abbiamo mangiato benissimo sia a pranzo, piatti più veloci, che la sera più ricercati. Prodotti di qualità alta. La sera il ristorante sempre all'aperto è diventata una location molto particolare. Il servizio ottimo, camerieri, barista sempre attenti e cordiali. La piscina bella. Insomma soggiorno da rifare sicuramente.

Abbiamo soggiornato per tre giorni e devo ammettere che è stata una bellissima esperienza. Camera confortevole con un bel bagno. Ottimo il ristorante e il servizio a bordo piscina. Molto rilassante ideale per una pausa dalla città. Bello il castello e la piscina. Perfetta l accoglienza al nostro piccolo bassotto ideale quindi per chi ha un amico a quattro zampe e vuole godersi una rilassante vacanza. Complimenti a tutto lo staff e alla direzione. Consigliatissimo!!!
