Pian Di Cascina - Umbria with kids - family holidays, pool, restaurant & playpark

I had the pleasure of staying at Pian Di Cascina in June 2023, and I'm thrilled to share my positive experience.

The views at the villa are breathtaking, a sizable and inviting pool with a splash pool, and the daily bread deliveries added a delightful touch to our mornings. The highlight of our week was the all-you-can-eat pizza night, a fantastic opportunity to not only savor delicious pizza but also learn the art of making it. The wide variety of sports equipment was also a hit as we enjoyed late night badminton.

Our apartment was well-equipped with toys, books, and baby gear, making it a family-friendly haven. The cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities were commendable. The tractor rides on Paul's vintage tracked tractor were an unforgettable experience.

The extensive guest guide with maps provided valuable insights for easy day trips to Gubbio, Assisi, the lake, or the beach. The location offered a perfect blend of hot weather and ample shade with gazebos.

Paul's constant availability to answer questions or address any concerns added a personal touch to our stay. Overall, Pian Di Cascina proved to be a charming retreat, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and family-friendly agriturismo experience.

Great place to stay in Umbria. Very kid friendly, as you can probably guess by the name. Paul, the owner, was friendly and helpful and helped us with advice.

Do the pizza night. The food was a great intro to Italy.

Fantastic location in the Umbrian countryside within 45 minutes of a number if great day trips (we did 5 - don't miss the caves!). Paul and Isabel (the owners/ hosts) were brilliant. Very friendly and lots of excellent little touches (detailed respisitory of local info, daily bread/ pastry delivery, baby sitting service, board games etc). Isabel's food at the onsite restaurant was delicious.

Very well set up for families with young children - lots of space and toys. The served meals offered on Thursday and Sunday nights were fantastic. Isabelle and Paul are very welcoming hosts.

An incredible location up in the Umbrian hills, this place is a true find. Utterly stunning views, beautiful accommodation, comfortable, a great pool, wonderful eat as much as you can pizza evenings, epic lasagne to order any time you want not to cook… and for the kids it was perfect. Toys in the villa, everything you needed from high chairs to brilliantly dark shutters for the nights, an order service for nappies, wipes, grow bags, a cot, groceries whatever you need… the pizza evenings full of families with kids and no pressure to keep them quiet or sitting down!

Everything was spotlessly clean, kept to a really high standard. There was a fantastic playground in a beautiful meadow with great equipment. I cannot, absolutely cannot, recommend Pian di Cascina highly enough. Paul, who owns the place, is an incredible host, friendly, personable, really likeable - full of information, good ideas, a great sense of humour and honestly where their website says they just want you to be able to turn up with your suitcase and they’ll look after the rest - well that's exactly what they do. We will miss it hugely and we very much hope to be back.

This place is perfect. Every turn one makes is set up for family life and outdoor adventure.

Do not hesitate - book now. (Even April/May and Oct/Nov are warm)

Paul ist ein sehr netter und umgänglicher Gastgeber, ein klasse Typ. Die Unterkunft war sauber, groß und gut ausgestattet. Küche komplett mit allem Bestückt und soweit auch sehr gut einzig die Bäder waren leider einfach und auch älter (der Rest des Appartements war renoviert). Kann sein, dass andere Wohnungen hier schon modernisierte Bäder haben. Die Anlage ist sehr schön, der Pool ist super, auch die Liegen und die Möglichkeiten zu entspannen sind toll. 4 Sterne nur wegen der Bäder, sonst 5 Sterne.
