Ristorante Masolino

The food was remarkable, the service was very kind, and the place is beautiful and cozy. It is worth a detour. I highly recommend it, we went there twice and regretted not dining there for the rest of our stay in Umbria.

I stumbled upon the charming town of Panicale while planning my daughters wedding in Umbria . We were looking for a small boutique hotel for our guests to stay not too far from the venue .
After meeting Luca and having a delicious lunch at Masolino I knew this was the place . Together with Luca, Annalisa, & Andrea we planned an amazing welcome dinner and day after brunch . I can not express enough what an amazing job they did . The flowers , candles , the display , beyond words ! It was such a beautiful setting in their cave room and Luca even arranged to have a singer & guitarist for the party . The food is just incredible and the wine selection the best ! There is just such a charm about this tiny town and this family run restaurant is just so special .
The charming boutique hotel is a 5 minute walk and Tamara & Claudia were so helpful with arranging rooms for our guests .
Luca , you really are the best ! And of course Nonna !
We will always treasure our memories with everyone at Masolino and plan on visiting again & again !
If you are touring Umbria, Masolino is a must !!

We were staying at a villa near by, but We had lunch and another day we had dinner at this amazing restaurant. There was like 15 of us, but their attention and service was still outstanding. Food was just delicious, from appetizers to pastas and meat and deserts everything was truly tasty. We also got recommendations for some good wine we had. We got to see the inside and the old caves with a lot of history. Great place! We didn’t stay at the hotel.

Traveling from New York they made my family feel like part of theirs!!! Bellissimo !!

Easily booked a table for 13, beautiful street dining under the walls of the tower. Pasta was perfect, wine recommendations exactly what we wanted and service was friendly and efficient. Panecotta with cherries was exceptional 🤤and the flaming Crème brûlée were a nice touch

Absolutely divine. We got the broad bean flan which was one of the most incredible dishes I EVER ate (deserves a Michelin) and the umbrechelli with carbonara and truffle as well as the black angus. Everything was so delicious we didn’t even get a chance to take a photo because it just all disappeared immediately. Loved the selection of olive oil for the table as well!

The best restaurant we have been for our vacation in Umbria! They served with everything single detail with high quality. Every table was paired with 5 bottles of top olive oil and salt. The pasta is so amazing and it is so difficult find anything can compare with that level afterwards.

Multo bene! Extremely delish!!! This place is out of this world! The food is hand made by the original founder, the service is fantastic and personal! The atmosphere is spectacular!

We had the thick had rolled pasta carbonara with truffle and small gnocchi with truffle and porcini mushrooms. We basically all died!

Amazing! The location is absolutely fascinating, the food was excellent with a great combination of flavours that manage to unite traditions and new experiences. The service is without any doubt perfect. Fast, kind, never oppressive but always ready. Particular recommendation for the wine list.

La nonna in the kitchen cooks very well and always manages to serve dishes with wonderful flavours!
The restaurant has two parts; the original restaurant - with some outside terrace spaces overlooking Lago trasimeno (come here by sunset, wonderful views!) - and the newer part across the street, including an original medieval cave part where you can sit as well.
Masolino has an amazing wine list, and the owner Andrea clearly knows what he is talking about when advising wine choices.
We’ve been returning customers for several years now and are always happy to return, so would confidently recommend. Alla prossima!

When i visit family in the area, i always need to drop in at least twice for my fresh pasta fix.

Amazing views over lake Trasimeno from the terrace with aerobatics from the returning swifts during dinner was just the beginning. Great homemade pasta and slow cooked veal were the highlights of the meal and there's a good size, well chosen list of local and tuscan wines. Well cooked and presented dishes were served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Portions were good sizes and prices very sensible.

Started with fresh bread and local olive oils.. So very good.
There is a medieval cave where we sat for an aperitivo, just fabulous.

Fantastic Italian restaurant with a tiny balcon overlooking the lake located in the old city.... Try to get one of the tables on the balcony or outside in the small alley and watch the sunset. The boar pasta is out of this world.

Best pasta (tartufo pasta) I've ever eaten, this ristorante is a must go! Comfortable atmosphere, friendly service and authentic italian pasta - we will come back just for this!

Great sea food, fantastic location with lake view, very nice atmosphere. It’s a must be if you are at Lake Trasimeno.
