Amazing hotel! The staff were absolutely incredible. Extremely impressive - they were all constantly amazing. Greeting you every time they pass, perfect service at breakfast and lunch. Impeccable. Ronaldo at lunch was a gentleman.

The location you cannot beat.

The rooms were quite old, but that is to be expected in an old beautiful town.

This place is absolutely beautiful. It’s pretty easy to get to from the train station and they do have parking if you come by car. We really liked the hotel and its amenities. The breakfast every morning was really good. The grounds, the pool, and the beach areas are all immaculately maintained.

Being in Santa Margherita is so much better than Portofino. Things are still expensive in Santa Margherita, but not as crazy as Portofino. If you feel like you still need to go to Portofino you can easily walk there or take the ferry. After you go you will realize why Santa Margherita is so much better. I would love to come back here someday.

The hotel was fantastic and so was the private beach. We arrived at the hotel around 11pm without a reservation, and Angelo attended us. He arranged a great room for us with a good price and convinced us to pay and stay, showed us all the hotel, took our luggage from the car and took it to the room, showed us a map of the whole city and the tours, indicated restaurants and tours around the city, and gave us some cookies because when we arrived everything was already closed. Simply the best service I have ever received in Italy, he is the best, at the end of our stay, Angelo left a farewell letter in our car. The attendant Daniela was also a love with us at meals, always patient and very friendly. These two marked our stay at the hotel, we are very grateful for them. The hotel is also very beautiful and amazing.

Hotel Metropole is my best hotel where I and my wife stayed. My wife and I travel a lot around the world, but we have never been to a hotel like this. Wonderful.
The hotel has excellent service, breakfast, beautiful rooms. The location of the hotel is in the best place, overlooking the main canal in Venice.
My wife and I will surely come back again.

Our favorite hotel in Italy. Beautiful location, excellent service, gorgeous view and delicious food.

Santa Margherita was a wonderful surprise and the hotel was a big part of why we loved it so much. The private beach, hotel gardens, pool and breakfast terrace were all wonderful. Location to town was good, restaurant was great and staff charming. View from our room’s small balcony was a knock out.

I don’t normally write reviews but wanted to make sure everyone has the chance to experience the beauty of Hotel Metrepole. This hotel is beautifully appointed, the rooms are spacious, the proximity to the station and the wonderful Santa Margherita on your doorstep is what leads you to this hotel on paper. However, the service at this hotel is beyond. Every staff member is friendly and polite, the breakfast buffet is delicious and has a wide variety, and the day spa is the perfect treat to finish off your day. We can’t wait to return ti this hotel in the future!

Lovely solo stay at this comfy, authentic Italian hotel. Beautiful peaceful gardens and lovely spa and private beach area for swimming. Really great breakfast offering lots of different options, including veggie and vegan. Beautiful views of Santa Margarita. LOVED the stay, will be back!

Love the location and the quaintness of this hotel and the staff is exceptional. We had to leave early to catch a train and after the front desk had been up all night, he enthusiastically got me a cup of coffee before my trip. Would definitely stay here again! The breakfast was delicious also.

We had spacious room with sea/garden view. Good bathroom too. Decent dinner at hotel restaurant. Nice swim pool in the morning. Altogether: a perfect choice for relaxed weekend.

We don’t normally leave reviews, but in this case we wanted to emphasize how great of a stay we had. The hotel is both very well situated and beautifully decorated, and the staff provided great care and service. A special shout-out goes to the people caring for guests during breakfast, as they provide exceptionally friendly service which made you feel right at home. We have certainly found our place in Venice, and we have no doubt were we will stay next time we visit.

I had 3 days there and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was great in all areas that I interacted with them. One of the front desk people helped me to get back to the train station. He went out of his way.
The bar person, Amedeo was also great. He was personable and helped whenever he could. He made suggestions for drinks and they hit the spot. I can't wait to go back there

We had three wonderful days in this hotel. The view over the garden with all the flowers and the sea just behind was priceless. The rooms were very comfortable and the service was excellent. Breakfast on the terrace was one of the best during our stay in Italy with plenty of coffee made specifically for us (getting less common in other hotels). We ate at the restaurant on our last night and it was truly exquisite. The concierge, Caesar,gave us good advices on how to get to the destinations we wanted. Avoid the month of July if you can: the town is so packed with tourists, it is quite unpleasant and you won’t reach the sea unless you climb over bodies (yes people still cook themselves in Europe!)

Hotel Metropole was exceptional. Walking distance to everything in Santa Margherita. Pool & Beach access. Beautiful private areas throughout the property. The rooms were clean and spacious. I absolutely recommend this location.

Gorgeous hotel in Venice, exotic furnishings and beautifully displayed antique collections, comfortable well appointed rooms, common areas - lounge, outdoor garden, dining areas decorated with incredible style and lovely to relax in, Oriental Bar perfect spot for pre or after dinner drinks, staff were friendly, informative, extremely helpful. Highly recommend staying here

What a great hotel, especially in the shoulder season. The pool is fine, the view from our balcony is great. The beach is right here with the ability to swim way out...a very nice property and a short walk to town down the hill to excellent food. Five star value at the right price

Beautiful hotel with wonderful views of the main canal. Staff was attentive and helpful, very close to a lot of the main attractions, gondola rides & water taxi services. Highly recommend!

Great Location, just a short downhill walk to Santa Margherita's main area. The hotel sits on top of a hill so it offers a great view of the its garden and the sea. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. Would consider staying here if I visit again.

True vacation destination with some of the best food and restaurants you can find in Italy. Portofino is 5 minutes away for a day Tripp but S. Margaretha is the place to stay . Thank you and much appreciated. defiantly we will be back.
