Pizzeria Anima e Passione

This is a great little resto on Piazza della Libertà in San Quirico D’Orcia. The folks working there are super friendly. They clearly have a great vibe amongst themselves and with their regulars - and they play great music. We must have Shazamed about a half dozen songs from their playlist! This makes for a great atmosphere to accompany their delicious pizza.

And pizza is absolutely what they are about. You won’t find lists of antipasti, primi piatti and secondi on this menu. Only pizza - delicious, imaginative wood fired pizza.

We enjoyed a Cò Piccantin (sausage, spicy salami, onions, spicy sauce and mozzarella) and a L’Indiavolata (spicy salami, nduja, olives, tomato and mozzarella). The toppings were first rate, and the crust was crispy, delicious wood-fired perfection.

At 10€ per pizza this is a fabulous value for money place. If you find yourself in San Quirico D’Orcia they are well worth a visit.

We came here to eat a good pizzeria in Tuscany and we weren't disappointed. It was delicious and the waitress was so nice and welcoming. It's definitely a popular spot among the locals, which says a lot about it 😉

Food was excellent, really enjoyed the pizza, good quality ingredients. The setting is really nice too, very romantic spot. We didn't have a reservation and it was busy but the server found us a table. Next time I would try to make a booking because we saw lots of people get turned away. Very friendly service even though she was very busy. Good prices.

Best pizza place in San Quirico d'Orcia!
After we discovered it, we went there every day for the rest of our stay. Wide choice of various pizza. I believe that the real art of making a good pizza is in getting the simple ones right. My favourite was the "Buffala".
The restaurant is right on the main square, due to the open location, you can catch a fresh breeze on a hotter night and there's some action till late at night even on weekdays. Great atmosphere and if you met people in the town, they will probably pass by while you dine here.
The staff is super nice, very helpful and accommodating in every possible way, from giving you tipps on what to visit in the region to suggesting the matching beer that will go with your pizza.
By the way: This restaurant serves several local craft beers, very fine, highly recommended to try them if you have a taste for a good beer.

Un restaurant très agréable et pas cher du tout sur la place du centre historique. Service efficace et attentionné. La meilleure pizza que nous ayons mangé sur la Francigena depuis Lucca. En l'occurrence nous avons commandé une "fruste", proche d'une pizza et avec une forme peu courante pour les français que nous sommes.

Vermutlich eine der schönsten Pizzerien in denen ich in Italien seit langem Speisen durfte, weniger wegen dem Lokal, wohl eher wegen der einmaligen Lage an einem kleinen Platz mitten in dem wunderschönen Ort. Auch wegen dem sehr guten Pizzen. Aber vor allem, und das ist mir in Lokalen mit am wichtigsten, dem unglaublich netten Personal, wer hier ist und Lust auf eine Pizza hat sollte unbedingt hierher...!! Gruß Tom

Świetna lokalizacja, urocze miejsce. Życzliwa obsługa: mimo braku rezerwacji i sporego ruchu udało się zorganizować dla nas stolik. Bardzo dobre jedzenie: polecamy genialną pizzę La Porta Nuova (nazwa zapewne pochodzi od znajdującej się nieopodal zabytkowej bramy) z karczochami, gorgonzolą i truflą. Ceny przystępne. Ciekawostką w menu są polskie piwa rzemieślnicze z Cieszyna :)

Auf Empfehlung von unserem Host waren wir sogar 2x hier und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Pizzeria liegt direkt am Piazza della Libertá sprich im Kern von San Quirico d‘Orcia. Die Pizzen waren sehr lecker, vor allem die La Sfiziosa war eine der besten die ich je gegessen habe. Preis / Leistung stimmt absolut. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Ottima pizza anche con gusti particolari. a metà tra la napoletana di cui prende la morbidezza e la romana più rigida e consistente. Oltre alle pizze classiche, vengono proposti ottimi accostamenti con ingredienti locali e gustose proposte di pizze dolci. Buone anche le birre provenienti dal territorio. Personale molto cortese e disponibile!

Ottima posizione, pizza buona e personale gentile e simpatico.
Consiglio al titolare di “equilibrare” maggiormente i prezzi, alcune pizze hanno ingredienti molto più economici di altre ma il prezzo è lo stesso. Una nota positiva é che avendo tolto un ingrediente da una pizza, in cassa mi è stato tolto 1€ dal prezzo della pizza, il che non è una cosa scontata perché solitamente se aggiungi paghi, ma se togli gli ingredienti il prezzo non si abbassa. Questo dimostra grande onestà a mio parere, oltre il fatto che la pizza la paghi quando è pronta e non quando la ordini.
Lo consiglio, sia per mangiare la pizza sul posto che per l’asporto.

Die Pizza Puttanesca mit Thunfisch, Zwiebeln und Oliven hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Schneller und aufmerksamer Service. Schöne Atmosphäre direkt in der Altstadt.
