Very nice place to taste local recipes. Good prices and friendly service.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place, but this restaurant surprised me in so many ways! The service from our waiter was fast, cordial and friendly, but the food… that was just WOW! Me and my girlfriend ordered a plate of pasta called Cacio e Pepe and I cannot describe how delicious it is! I could order another one right after the first and eat the whole thing! This is easily one of, if not the best meal we’ve ever eaten. I cannot recommend this place enough! Such a warm and welcoming environment!

I was on holiday with my family and we wanted to look for a restaurant to eat in. That’s when we came across Al Sottobosco. The restaurant was very welcoming. The place was spotless, and the waitstaff was very welcoming. As for the service, impeccable! I really couldn’t be more impressed! The food there was a delight to eat, and a lot of effort was put into this place. The waitstaff was really easy to understand (through a translator, because we were not the best at speaking Italian!), and very kind. My only gripe with restaurant though:

The place isn’t really family-friendly, as on the menu there is no kids section. Other than that, a charming and delightful place to eat at for lunch! Would absolutely recommend this place!

We have chosen this restaurant for lunch on our way to Perugia based on Google reviews and didn't regret. Friendly staff and good quality foods. We took Carbonara that was sauced in a cheese head and entrecote with truffles . All very tasty. Crema Catalana for desert was perfect as well. We enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend to visit.

We enjoyed our dinner and dessert very much! Everything was fresh and so delicious. They offered gluten free options as well. Barbara and Daniel and the rest of the staff were very wonderful. I'd go back again tomorrow without hesitation.

I went with my grandparents and we had such a wonderful experience. The food was amazing at a very reasonable price. The staff was so welcoming, friendly, and most importantly understanding (my Italian language skills are embarrassing).
I would highly recommend eating here to anyone who passes through the area if they are looking for something delicious local and simple after a long day of traveling.
Also they sell lovely bottles of local wine if your a wine lover like I am. :)

Family owned with a Sunday dinner feel at grandma's house! The food was delicious and the staff was very helpful in speaking English to us and explaining the food! As a heads up, Don't ask for pizza, it will be taken as an insult, 😁

I've been there for lunch and had umbricelli cacio e pepe inside the pecorino shape of cheese with truffle on top.. Simply amazing. The staff is very friendly and professional.

This is by far the best restaurant to be found at the East side of the Lago Trasimeno. The food was very good and the staff was very nice and friendly. The food came fast and the time between meals was just long enough for the food to settle in my belly. The hostess did an amazing job as a waitress and she also made one of the most delicious desserts I ever tasted. She gave us a free Italian lesson which was also very funny and quite useful actually. So if you are looking for a great place to eat at the Trasimeno Lake, go for it.

What a great place to be! DANIELE makes Real homemade Pastas with excellent ragu. Fresh truffles are generously served at you table. Simple but marvelous tastes and PLEASE do not leave without a dessert. BARBARA makes dolces like you NEVER tasted before. Honest, biological and pure. Try them all, but make sure you have the crema catalana and the torta con cuore morbido. A chocolate cake with soft core. ❤
