Fantastic hotel, friendly helpful staff, great breakfast with plenty of choice, if I ever go back to that part of Italy I will be staying in Hotel Sporting

Love the location. Hotel on a cliff!! No a quiet hotel due to finishes... the materials are not absorbing the sound, it's bouncing them off. So the person 2 rooms over taking a shower sounds like he is in your room....(this was the only downside).

We stayed at this Hotel for one week with our kids. The reception was good and provided all information and our room keys swiftly, the halls and rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The view from our room was stunning, overseeing the Naples bay from 30-40 meters high with a view on mount Vesuvius and the private beach. The staff serving in the restaurant section were very kind and funny with us and our kids, they even taught them some party tricks! There was really a good “family owned business” vibe to this hotel that made our stay extra nice. The situation of the hotel is great, not far from the train station, center and cultural activities in Vico Equense. The private beach is also a very efficiently run organization, with a lifeguard, snack / restaurant and the usual umbrellas / beds for rent and changing rooms / showers. Accessing a private beach through a lift in the mountain and a tunnel was really cool. I do recommend this hotel for couples seeking a view and quietness, as well as for families.

Breakfast was fantastic! Accommodations for family of 3 were just fine! Supper was the best fresh fish and pasta pomodoro. The bar was accommodating. The views are to die for on the veranda!!! Love this place!!!

I read before going, someone said its a small paradise. 100% agree. Beautiful sea view, photos don't justify the room they are a lot nicer and bigger in real life. Super helpful Staff, all of them, but I would specially bring out Guiseppe.
Vico as a small town in perfect holiday get-away, everything in walking distance. Friendly people, nice bars with good drinks. I recommend it over Napoli and other cities around if you would like to enjoy your holiday out of the busy street. If i would stay in this area I would go back to Hotel Sporting. Nice beach- they have a lift down.

Had The most amazing and romantic evening here. Staff was amazing, but AC being remote controlled was sometimes an issue. Big Thanks to Pepe who made The extra.

Let's put things in perspective. I'm from Australia and Italy is an exotic destination for me. So I absolutely adored this hotel!!!! It was so different to anything that I have experienced. I mean, it's a hotel perched on the side of a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, with a view of Mount Vesuvius! Without doubt this was one of my favourite hotels for this reason and this reason alone. (NOTE: you must make sure that you get a room with a view - question them to ensure this because the view is the key selling point for staying here). Our room was a reasonably ordinary hotel room, clean and well maintained. The in-house restaurant was pleasant, also with great views and food. The hotel boasts a slightly wobbly elevator that takes you down to the private beach. If, like us, you are used to sandy beaches then make sure that you have some aqua shoes (or something similar). The beach is a pebble beach and while it is funny watching people tenderly walk across the peoples, it is not as much fun when you must do so yourself to get to the water. So yes - aqua shoes are a must. But once in the water... divine. Take a waterproof camera down to the beach with you and get some shots of yourself swimming with Vesuvius behind you. Had dinner here one evening end of September.
The restaurant service was impeccable, food was great and the views were amazing. Unlike other places where you “gamble” when choosing your food, our waiter had the knowledge and skills to present it in such way that it becomes an experience. Thank you Giuseppe for being a master in your craft.

I did not stay at the Sporting Hotel but I paid to use their private beach and it was worth it! They have an elevator on the backside of the patio that will take you down to their private beach for a small fee. If you are a guest of the hotel this fee is waived. The beach has chairs and umbrellas for rent and the beach is mostly stone. They have a large area sectioned off for swimming and have a lifeguard on staff.

We loved our stay there, so friendly, and such a beautiful place, and the view is to die for. Rooms are old but clean and well maintained. I will go back anytime.

Fell in love with place because of magical views, multiple balconies, private elevator to its own beach. Must order taxi 24hrs ahead when departing.

Just by chance went to their restaurant for dinner only one word fantastico. Service and food was five star and amazing view.
