oh my god!!!! this is really truly the best canoli I have ever had. the ricotta filling kind is like eating a pillow from the heaven with a crunchy shell. it's so good. And not too sweet, it's just right. the chocolate filling one is heavenly too, so rich! and the pitaschio was good too, but if you are only gonna try one canoli, try the original with the ricotta cheese filling. it is the best !!!! Or you can do half and half like I did and try two fillings in one shell. Price was good too! 2.3 euro for the origial, and 2.5 euro for choco/ pistachio/ half-half. yum yum yum 😋 I went back for some takeaway before I go back on cruise.

When you visit a new city and want to try the local delicacy, La Dolceria will not disappoint! It’s not some random cannolo, pignolata or piccola pasticceria that you will eat in a touristic town that might not seem to special, these folks really know their trade and will leave a stamp on your tastebuds. It’s a cute place and the people couldn’t be more friendlier. Be warned, once you try you can never go back (the cravings will start!!)

We were there in July, and writing this now in October. Best cannoli I've ever had in my life, and I've had plenty in various little Italy's in Toronto, New York, Montreal, etc. So good, we went back for a second order before heading to the noon clock show. We had multiple styles, and all were amazing, and the filling was lighter than I am used to. Our whole family still talks about them months later. The shop owners/staff were also very friendly and helpful. An absolute must if you are in Messina!

I tried cannoli in many places in Italy and Sicily but the one here was by far the best!
I had the pistachio cream one and not the classic ricotta but boy was it good! The cannoli itself was crisp with a perfect mild flavor and the pistachio filling was divine.
Just a few hours later I tried a very famous pasticeria for cannoli in Taormina and even though that was good, the one from Dolceria in Messina was a couples classes above!
Try it!
