Il Barilotto

The experience was so great - the service is perfect, the vibe is traditional and my personal favourite was the way they incorporate chestnuts into the menu, they even have a dessert with it and a homemade chestnut jam!

Great restaurant run by young people. The menu is small but very authentic, serving local delicious Tuscany food. Has been three times already and tried a few different dishes, will be back for sure when I visit Monte Amiata again, as the hospitality and service are the best. I love the white house wine too. Make sure to book because it is usually quite full.

Once in a while you enter a restaurant and when the first course is presented you know you have struck gold; this is what happened to me today at Il Barilotto. I ordered the ravioli with cream of truffle and was blown away by the simplicity yet depth of flavor in the dish. Then came the perfectly grilled filetto do manzo with a side dish of fagioli, simple but perfect with lemon and olive oil. Great service also. One question comes up though after a few days in Tuscany; why do Italians put up with such mediocre (factory made) bread (often with no salt either!)?

The food is excellent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It was very busy, we told the waiter that we wish to sit outside and even though it's was very crowded they found us a table outside. The friendliest restaurant in Italy, no doubt.
The food was amazing, one of the best pasta I have ever had, and the best tagliatta I have tasted.

Nice little restaurant in Santa Fiora. We found it by coincidence and just wet there because it was packed on a Sunday at 2:30pm (we even hay to wait a couple of minutes to be seated). Very friendly English speaking staff and good cuisine. 4 stars for the food, 5 stars for their friendly service and 6 stars for price for value. PS: i bought bottles of their house wine ;)

Wonderful place with delicious food. There is a menu with German and English translation. It feels like citizens of Santa Fiora shares meal each week together in this place.

One one about olive oil. Best. Ever. It smells and tastes so fresh. I never guessed extra virgin olive oil could be like that.

Excellent and reasonably priced food. Fantastic staff that takes pride and joy serving customers. It is our third visit here and we will be coming back for sure!

We came after a day full of rain, the terrace was not prepared because the rain just finished but the team just made us a table ready in a couple of minutes. The food was delicious and very special. We can definitely recommend this place!

Authentic Tuscan cuisine. Great Pici (pasta), wild boar and succulent meat dishes. The place is big but packed. Many locals eat there. Prices very low for the great quality you get. Best place in town and around.
