Comiso Airport

I am absolutely thrilled to share my exceptional experience at Comiso Airport! After a grueling 24-hour flight that left me completely exhausted and later on I realized I had forgotten to pack my wife's suitcase in the taxi. Arriving at our destination, the initial devastation was overwhelming.

I was 110% sure we will never ever see those bags again, but luckily I was proven wrong and the airport staff woman named Rafaela's kindness, efficiency, and dedication to her work were truly remarkable. She had not only located our misplaced luggage but had also gone above and beyond to ensure its safekeeping. The warmth in her demeanor and her commitment to helping us made all the difference. Her service-minded attitude truly exemplifies the spirit of exceptional customer care.

I am forever grateful to Rafaela and the entire team at Comiso Airport for turning what could have been a disastrous situation into a heartwarming experience. Their efforts to recover and return our luggage showcased their dedication to going the extra mile for their passengers. Rafaela's actions saved the day and allowed us to enjoy our trip without any further stress.

Thank you, Rafaela, for being a shining example of outstanding service and genuine care. Comiso Airport has truly won my heart, and I will always fondly remember this experience. Small airport, which makes it very efficient. Arriving we had to wait ten minutes for our luggage, customs took all of ten seconds and we could pick up our rental car after 5 minutes. Try doing that in Heathrow ,Schiphol of Zaventem 😎

This is a small regional airport and the week of 7/16 the employees and management at this airport stepped up due to the fire at Catania Fontanarossa. I was diverted there on my inbound flight and departed from there on my out bound later that week. This airport was asked to take on a much heavier load and not only did they succeed but in my opinion they did with flying colors. Sure it was bit hectic but they implemented a security checkin and boarding process that keep lines moving and fairly organized. Again not the sexiest airport but the gate area and terminal was in good shape and again they did an amazing job,. Thank you Comiso for stepping up and making my vacation happen.

The Comiso airport seemed to be a place of friendly and efficient people. In contrast to the mess and chaos in Catania in the days after terminal the fire, where the employees and airlines seemed almost not to care at all.

And the smart gentleman from the management who miraculously pushed our family through the check-in and security in the last moment before missing our re-routed flight deserves a particular thanks and likely a prize for managing the chaos created by the catanians...

Very convenient little airport.

We arrived at 7:50, passed the check-in and security, and were at gate 3 at 7:55. Never had such a fluent and speedy arrival process, and I flew a lot in my life.

Personal also very friendly.

And last but not least, parking is just besides the building, and costs only 3 euro per day.

Very convenient little airport. 5 mins after entering the terminal you pass the security, and 10 mins later you're at your gate, if you don't have to check-in luggage.

Parking is also just besides the terminal, 15 first minutes are free, € 1 per hour or € 3 per day.

International flights are very limited, but I can wholeheartedly recommend the airport. 👍

Under some duress for now for sure, but under normal circumstances this airport is great, I've used it multiple times and never a problem with staff and it's fundamental for this side of the island.

Having a small holiday home in lovely Modica (40 minutes away) means either Catania or the far more agreeable Comiso.
Yes, it is small but that’s a good thing - far less to go wrong and if it does the staff are helpful and charming. The facilities are perfectly adequate for an airport ...if I wanted more I’d go to the far busier Catania.
Every time we go the number of facilities grow - I remember when it was shut and with exciting news of it opening soon we would visit the airport longingly :)
It is an airport not a hotel but the staff proudly work as if it were.

It's a new airport used by several companies. Little airport offer flights from and to Frankfurt, Dusselorlf, Dublino, Brussels, London, Milano, Roma e Pisa. One hour and half from Eloro District we suggest to rent a car and use the road for Ragusa, then follow the Stratal Street 115 direction Siracusa

For me excellent airport better that driving to my zone in the south cost from Catania ( London Pisa one hour waite Pisa comso) nice staff always helpful

Ieri ho volato dall'aeroporto di Comiso.
Ho letto le tantissime, troppe recensioni negative su questo aeroporto e, essendo abituato a viaggiare tantissimo, ero preparato al peggio ma sono rimasto felicemente sorpreso.
Per tutti coloro che hanno scritto delle cose terrificanti su questo aeroporto vorrei proprio vedere a cosa sono abituati di solito.
Questo aeroporto, comodissimo per il su est della regione è una piccola realtà che ospita solitamente non più di 3-4 voli giornalieri e ha tutti gli strumenti necessari per ospitare i passeggeri.
Certo... piccolo...ma appunto stiamo parlando di 3-4 vli quotidiani.
Il personale ovunque è molto gentile, i prezzi dei bar nella norma, pulizia ottima.
Il mio volo originava inizialmente da Catania ma per via dell'incendio in quell'aeroporto molti voli sono stati trasferiti a Comiso.
Lo staff ha fatto di tutto e in maniera eccellente per accogliere una moltitudine di passeggere e relativi disagi ai quali non sono solitamente abituati.
Bravi!
Se posso muovere una sola critica è il sistema di collegamento alla città.
Esistono solo 2 corse al giorno da e per Comiso e purtroppo non ci sono taxi o altri mezzi sostitutivi.

Oggi ho assistito a una delle scene più belle viste in aeroporto..
Una ragazza visibilmente confusa e in lacrime per problemi con gli oggetti del proprio bagaglio.. un operatore dell'aeroporto la tranquillizza e nei limiti delle regole la aiuta per sistemare i suoi oggetti per evitaredi doverli buttare...
Da siciliana sono orgogliosa di questo operatore e di questo piccolo ed efficiente aeroporto.. adesso volo! Grazie!

Sono rimasta soddisfatta per tutto. È stato facilissimo trovare l'aeroporto c'erano indicazioni in ogni punto del percorso.
