Osteria Borgo Vecchio

Found this place after an extensive search for somewhere serving vegetarian options. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. He was very proud of each course he presented and we enjoyed every dish. Dining room was a little small and cramped but as soon as available, the owner brought an extra table and extended our room. Would definitely come here again.

What a lovely little osteria in the beautiful borgo of Neive! I was traveling alone for a week in Italy, last stop Neive. I'd seen the menu posted outside and returned that evening for dinner. Learned that reservations are a must! Fast forward to the next evening... The interior is small and so cozy, only adding to the overall experience, but yes - get your reservation in. My server was amazing, a co-owner I believe. He took time to chat with me, make recommendations, even treated me to a local dessert wine to accompany my traditional Piamontese bunet. I dined on a fabulous yet very simple celery and cheese salad, tajarin pasta with ragu, a beautiful red wine, and then...that delish dessert. It appears many locals dine here, and I so enjoyed some chat with the family seated by my small table.The food is as local as they can manage, organic and fresh. Serving sizes are ample but not huge. Overalll, I had a wonderful evening here and would love to revisit next time in this gorgeous region of beloved Italy!

We were pleasantly supprised by the food. Best pasta and gnocchi we had in Piemonte. We had the ravioli with the pepper sauce and the gnocchi with the tomato sauce. Also, they are focused on bio products and that obviously paid off! Vega options available as well.

Great lunch spot. We’ve been twice and each time the food was good. Simple preparation, fresh ingredients. The tonnato is very nice, as is their pasta. View from the upper floor is lovely. We look forward to returning on our next trip to the region.
