Sandy and Phil offer warm hospitality and their expertise of the area to ensure you get the most out of your stay. One of our favorite memories was enjoying a delicious Tuscan BBQ, all done by Sandy and Phil, with typical Tuscan sides and wines too! Fabulous way to end a busy day of exploring and at sunset too!

When we heard Sandy and Phil (and their dogs Cooper and Maverick) were moving Relais Ortaglia to the Podere Val D’Dorcia Resort, we had to be first in line to check it out. The new property offers visitors the opportunity for expanded services, experiences, and views. Best hospitality, scenery, and customer service ever experienced in my whole life, and this is not an exaggeration. Thanks to Selene, manager, for crafting the memory of a lifetime!

I had planned to propose to my Fiancé here, and Selene contacted me. After an unplanned issue occurred with my accommodation, Selene not only coordinated my rebooking, but her and the entire Podere Val D'Orcia team went out of their way to curate a once in a lifetime experience filled with a horseback ride, flawless proposal setting with prosecco, and a magical candle lit dinner for two (she said YES). After years of 5 star hotel experiences in America, I have never received this type of treatment, kindness, and generosity....not to mention the views and landscape looked like a painting/heaven.

Whenever we make our way back to Italy, we know we will come back here!!

One of the most beautiful views in Toscana. Breathtaking. The room/suite was amazing. The staff was wonderful. The food was very good. We loved it and we will come back ! I love everything about it!!!

Words are not enough to describe how kind and heartwarming are the people of Podere Val D'Orcia. We decided to spend our honeymoon here and this was the best place to do so. The place itself is like coming from a fairy tale. Here you're so welcomed, that you feel at home. I can't describe how special everything was: the views, the food, the breakfast (which is served every morning in a basket right in front of your door).
Even the bad weather could not spoil our experience the slightest. We will definitely come back some other season, when we can also enjoy the pool and the horseriding.

We enjoyed 3 nights there at the end of the season. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were great and the views amazing. I hope you like cats because Johnny and Tommy are there looking for cuddles.

A breathtaking place. The landscape is simply extraordinary: heaven on earth. The owner a dedicate and polite gentleman and all the staff extremely cooperative. Rooms are well equipped and beautifully furnished. A place where one wants and must return. Really two thumbs up for everything. Excellent job

Beautiful location, the staff is very polite, rooms are nicely furnished and spacious. It’s a horse riding resort. They have 10 horses that are taken care of with love and respect and the instructor of horseback riding is very patient, too.

Intimate restaurant with one of the better views in Tuscany. Dine outside or in. Intimate, serving few people per meal. Very accommodating owner who cares about his clientele... Did I mention the terrific food and great service? Wonderfully situated between Castiglioncello del Trinoro and Sarteano. Overall, the best in that area if you are lucky enough to have the opportunity... CG

Best place in this area, nice view, amazing sunset and lovely staff

Mi sono recata con delle amiche in questo spettacolare Podere.
Lo staff è molto disponibile e cordiale, ti mette subito a tuo agio.
Il posto è super panoramico, immerso nella natura della Val D’Orcia.
La struttura dispone di molti servizi tra cui degustazioni, Safari fotografico, passeggiata a cavallo e area relax. Tutto molto ben strutturato e organizzato.
Sicuramente ci sono qualche piccole migliorie da fare, ma non occorre scriverlo in questa sede bensì comunicarlo direttamente a chi di competenza.
Tutto super consigliato, il posto è un oasi di relax

Sono stata diverse volte in questo meraviglioso Podere.
Tutto perfetto e indimenticabile. Una particolare menzione va a Selene per la professionalità e simpatia.
Spero di ritornare presto...

Habe dort eine geführte Reittour durch die Olivenhaine gemacht mit anschließendem Picknick ( indoor weils geregnet hat)
Es war toll, die Mitarbeiter haben sich aller größte Mühe gegeben und man hat sich gleich herzlich willkommen gefühlt - ich würde jederzeit wieder hin gehen - lokale Spezialitäten, eigenes prteisgekröntes Olivenöl und lokale Weine, Obst, Fleisch und Käse - einfach ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen

Nur der Weg dahin ist abenteuerlich- man braucht definitiv ein Geländegängiges Fahrzeug und gute Fahrkünste - aber auch da hat sich das Hotel angeboten zu helfen :)

Ho girato abbastanza la Toscana per poter affermare che questa parte di Val d'Orcia è l'ultimo angolo di paradiso perduto, è il paesaggio toscano che vi ricorderete per sempre! Tutto è stato perfetto: la camera, i whisky al tramonto con vista mozzafiato, le passeggiate a cavallo sulle colline, anche la SPA merita menzione! complimenti e avanti così

Ottima esperienza in questo meraviglioso podere.
La struttura, immersa in una collina con vista straordinaria sulla val d'Orcia, dispone di tre poderi sapientemente ristrutturati.
Abbiamo apprezzato la pulizia, la cura e la ricerca del dettaglio e più in generale l'ordine della tenuta che conta quasi 80 ettari di terreno.
Camera Frantoio - pulita spaziosa e dotata di ogni confort.
Commovente l'accoglienza e l'attenzione ricevuta dai proprietari Selene e Gianluca... bravi davvero!!
In generale tutto il personale è gentile e professionale e pronto a venire incontro alle esigenze del cliente.
Ristorante ottimo.

Abbiamo trascorso 4 giorni indimenticabili. Podere immerso in un paesaggio mozzafiato. Personale attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Passeggiate a cavallo organizzate da personale qualificato ma soprattutto simpaticissimo Un grazie particolate al Sig. Magri, con il suo safari fotografico ci ha permesso vedere posti incredibili .
E che dire della cena sotto la quercia..?..una Favola
