Had an amazing meal here! Had some of the specials (ricotta with pistachio pesto and ricotta) - words are not enough to describe our experience. The ambience is very cozy-!: the staff if very sweet, felt like a tuscan warm hug ❤❤

Great food, great location and great atmosphere. I always eat here when I'm in Sarteano, and it is always a positive experience. Last time I was sited in front of the bathroom, but I guess this is due to the last minute reservation I made on a Friday evening. The menu has traditional Tuscan dishes along with other tasty dishes. The prices are fair.

One of the best restaurants in Sarteona. This location is not too far from the homes and it is a good walk to get to this place. Since we were a big group, the restaurant was very accommodating and set a table up for us immediately. This restaurant has a lot of dishes on the menu to pick from so it is hard to walk away with something you don’t like.

To start, we ordered a red wine for the table and the servers also provided us with some bread. The bread paired well with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. For the mains, we ordered three ordered of hamburgers with fries. The hamburger was just the right amount (200g) and paired well with the bread and fries. It was nice to have a break from Italian food with this selection. We also ordered the wild boar meat. It was our first time trying it and it was definitely worth the try. It was nice but I’m not sure if I would get it again. We also got the pasta with wild boar sauce and a pasta with meat sauce and cheese. In addition, we got the beef tartare. It was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of truffle. We got a caprese salad for the table and as always, one can never go wrong with a caprese salad. We also got a side the fried vegetables and this complemented every dish very well.

I would highly recommend everyone to check this restaurant out. It has a nice patio area accompanied but some exquisite dinner music. If I’m in the area again, I will check this restaurant out.

Nice restaurant with a large outside area. The food, especially the steak is great and the staff is very friendly. The house wine is excellent and the Torta Moretta for dessert is amazing (it is a lot, I recommend sharing one). The restaurant allows dogs (at least in the outside area) and the even provided water for them.

The food is wonderful, the setting delightful...lovely courtyard, or cool inside dinning. One of our favorite spots in Sateano....great pici dishes!

This is an amazing restaurant inside out, and their service is superb, as well as their food. We both Malaysian came here and received a warm welcome from the beginning until the end. We came to Italy more than 6 times past few years, and this restaurant deserve our high recommendation as it is very clean, comfortable, and high end with local price. Their handmade pici and beef are so good, and made us went twice. Their service especially, is absolutely world class, attendances are professional, sincere, polite, passionate and smart. I love their service, and I think their service makes this restaurant shines in the little beautiful town of Sarteano.

A great family restaurant possibly the best in Sarteano. Popular with locals and tourists. There is always a good atmosphere and the outdoor seating area is a perfect spot for people watching. They have a new pizza chef...and his wood fired pizze are superb.

I have been delighted with everything in this restaurant: staff was spot on, kind and competent. The food was delicious: prime quality of ingredients and very well prepared. The prices were very reasonable, given the quality of everything. I definitely recommend this place!

Excellent quality-price ratio. Great location. Nice and cozy place at the entrance of the town. Excellent food and very efficient service. The vino della casa was very decent for its price (8€ the bottle).

Absolutely delicious and delightful! Great ambiance, good service, highly recommend. Would suggest booking in advance. We were lucky to arrive early on a Sunday and still get a table.

My first visit was July 2019, when I visited Sarteano to inspect a villa that was up for auction in 7 days. I was alone visiting the area around Sarteano for the first time.

I was walking the streets of the ancient city on a hot day when I saw a sign for pizza pointing down a narrow alley. I followed the sign and did find the restaurant, which is far more than a pizza joint.

To make the long story (review) longer, I won the auction, and a mere 5 months later my family and I returned for our first trip to stay in our new 16th century home. On our first full day the 3 of were retracing my steps through the streets of Sarteano, and when my girls said they were hungry, La Locanda dei Tintori pooped to my mind and I led them down the narrow streets to this gem.

The food and atmosphere are that good.

My daughter has celiac (all her food must be meticulously gluten free), and they were more than accommodating. She was excited with her many options, and we all enjoyed our meals, including the 5 Euro house white wine.

Don't come to Tuscany and miss it.

Very nice restaurant extremely friendly and professional staff. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. Bravo!

We have had a lovely lunch here. Unfortunately we couldn't order a pizza, because the oven wasn't on. But the pasta was very good.

Lovely sleepy restaurant for lunch. The steak looked incredible, but didn't have it. Salads and pastas all delicious though.

Great food. Good prices. Friendly waiters, who also knows English really well.
