Palazzo Bontadosi Hotel & Spa

We had an amazing experience at the Palazzo Bontadosi in June. Our family of 4 along with another family of 4 spent two nights here, and honestly, we wish were here longer! The service provided by Silvia was 5-star. She greeted us, served us local wine, and made sure our entire stay was amazing. We all utilized the spa and the adults had massages while we were there. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Our rooms were well-appointed. The grounds were immaculate. The entire village/town of Montefalco was dreamy, and we cannot wait to spend more time here on another vacation. This is the perfect hotel to take in the gorgeous views of Umbria!

Outstanding staff. Jade was quick to respond to my inquiries via email and when we arrived had great suggestions for food and things to do. Staff assisted withe reservations. Location is awesome. We were in Montefalco to chase Sagrantino and it was a good base of operations. Thank you!

From early contact re accessing the hotel, avoiding ZTLs, to convenient parking on the square, and getting our luggage to the room, the hotel excelled. One employee in particular, Jade, went out of her way to get us into the room and settled for our first night. There are convenient bars and restaurants nearby the square, making this location ideal.

I am torn between telling the truth about this amazing place or trying to keep it a secret by giving a poor review. This is our absolute favorite place in Umbria. I've stayed here half a dozen times or so, never had a bad time and always can't wait to come back.

We like to stay on the garden side (countryside) as it's a bit quieter.

My wife and stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel in June 2023. Great location right on the main square of cute Montefalco. The service by all of the staff that we interacted with was terrific. The breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious. The best part of all - we were given Room #1 to stay in for our 2 nights there. Wow, just wow - what a room! Frescoed walls and ceilings - like staying in your own private art gallery. We were amazed and so enjoyed it. The bathroom was very large and modern/updated with marble everywhere. What a wonderful stay - we would definitely recommend the Palazzo Bontadosi Hotel & Spa - and hope to stay there again on our next visit to Umbria.

I was chasing my family roots in Umbria when I happened upon the most picturesque hotel on top of a hill in Umbria. We had a hard time getting to the hotel as we thought roads were closed... so two of us walked to the hotel to check in. We explained this issue to the receptionist, Silvia, and told her it was fine and we would walk. She insisted we do not do that. She was so helpful in helping us navigate.

Once we all got there, Silvia was kind enough to offer us some places to visit that we might not know about. She arranged dinner for us at the hotel, which was a nice touch as we got in pretty late.

Dinner - was amazing. The food, drinks, the view and watching the neighbourhood children. What an experience.

Overall, we can't wait to come back. The hotel is truly a gem. The restaurants in walkable distance are incredible. And if you can get to visit the local towns/restaurants nearby - I hope you do. Silvia did everything she could to ensure we got where we needed - she was also a gem who made our stay the most memorable and enjoyable, going out of her way to ensure we had the most amazing trip.

My wife to be and I stayed here just before we got married in one of the junior suites and omg it was so beautiful.

The staff went out of their way to make our stay special. Everyone was so nice and helpful.

If you book direct they included a spa hour , it’s a nice thing to do during your stay.

The plaza & montefalco itself is so stunning, it’s not too touristy and all the restaurants are authentic, great quality and a reasonable price.

I would recommend an evening meal at the theatro across the road during your stay. It was spectacular.

The views are insane and make sure you book yourself into 1-2 wine tastings, we did Pardi and the owner showed us around and let us try all his wines free of charge.

Montefalco is a special gem in Umbria and a stay here will make it so special.

I and my husband got the room we can see the beautiful view of Montefalco. We were able to park downtown but it was not that far from the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant but, you can also go around and you can see choices. The room has enough space as well as a comfortable room. There’s a balcony. and the hotel has an elevator. Overall it was a good stay ❤

Very comfortable and charming hotel . Good size rooms with nice amenities : bathrobes , nice toiletries , towel warmers . Rooms have nice views , reasonable prices , the breakfast is very good too . All the staff is really kind and efficient.

This place is perfect. Price is good. Location can’t be better. Many excellent restaurants within walking distance. Less than 40 min to some of the greatest cities you will ever see.

A nice hotel located in the main square of Montefalco. We had a room at the front which gave us a ringside view of the square. Breakfast was served on the terrace in front of the hotel. Unfortunately we were not able to use the Spa, it is useful to book in advance to avoid disappointment. a must when you go to Montefalco.

I strongly recommend Pazzazzo Bontadosi for a special weekend! The town itself is incredible. In a very beautiful building at the Central Square of the town, the Palazzo is elegant but with a modern interior. I have found there a remarkable treatment. The all team working here is attentive and beautiful to look at and never made me miss something. The Spa was an experience as much as the food/service at the restaurant, where I have tryed the best wine and trouffeles combination. Don't miss a lunch on the terrace where the view is amazing.

The best place to stay in the center of Montefalco. Historic building nice design and good rooms. Super breakfast with a view to the historic main square. Rooms are quite large and many of the have nice view to the valleys. They also have a good restaurant in the hotel.

Amazing hotel and views from the windows are like a Renaissance painting. Restaurant is good too. This little village is a hidden jewel.

Michelin rated, in a beautiful hotel, on a historical Palazzo overlooking Umbria! Everything was first class.

Great place to stay with a very nice restaurant..Ceiling of that special room was spectacular, and paintings were stunningly beautiful..
