TINCHITE' Taverna & Putia

Excellent food with all typical Sicilian dishes. Pasta was incredible but best was Lasagna di Mare with sword fish! Highly recommended!

Welcoming staff and overall good service. The highlight is the typical oven baked pasta and the grilled meat plate thay was enough for 2 to share. The house red wine was good and the overall prices are quiet good. Would highly recommend it.

Literally the best restaurant I tried in my life (I am 40). The fish and eat menu are so rich, I would say most people can't eat it all. Good thing they have doggy bags:)

Happy for choosing this place for lunch in our visit to Cefalú. We were 5 and all were pleased with the food, big portions, everything tasted fantastic, good prices and attentive service.

Loved our meal here - definitely a favourite from a three-week Sicily trip. Mussels were incredibly fresh and delicious. Pastas were a highlight. The menu is really interesting and had lots of things we wanted to try. Great buzzy atmosphere

This place is probably my favourite restaurant we ate at during our 3 week stay in Sicily! The food is extremely good, with fresh ingredients and generous portions at a decent price. I recommend the panzarotti, with such delicious mushroom and fennel, and the taianu pasta. The meat is also excellent. Really nice and attentive service too!

Delicious traditional food, great atmosphere, and great price for what you get. I really cannot complain. For the type of restaurant it is its great. Panelle e crocché were crispy and nice, swordfish was good, pasta taiana and parmigiana also great. I would definitely go back to try the other things on the menu.

The place was packed at 20.30 on a Saturday of August (as expected). We had to wait around 20 minutes to get in, but at least they took us without reservation. The food was really good. We had the "carpaccio di maialino con funghi" and it was delicious. Then we had "pasta a taianu" and it was very tasty. We finally had "tagliata di vitello" with a salad. For dessert we tried for the first time the cassata Siciliana.

We stumbled across this place our first night in Céfalo. The meal was great. I am a big meat eater and the €30 T-bone was more than a match for me. My wife hade the filet with mushrooms also excellent. We went back a second time last night she had the filet again and I went wit the lamb “ribs”. I would call them chops. Also excellent. The staff was very busy but still friendly and helpful, with our very limited language skills.

Delightful. We ate here twice. The food was absolutely delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable for the area. No need to make reservations. The first night we got right in with no wait. The second time we waited less than 10 minutes. The waiters are very friendly.

Tried octopus salad and grilled swordfish, both were great topped off with tiramisu. (Forgot to take a photo of main dishes 😃)

Great selection of local Sicilian dishes, pasta, seafood, and wine. Very efficient, fast, and helpful team of servers. Reservation is recommended in busy seasons.

Pretty nice place within the town center, with plenty of choice, which all were tasteful and well served. I would recommend the starters menu (which lets you choose between the sea starters or the land starters) so you get a little taste of everything. House wine is inexpensive but not especially the best, although generous for the price!

So much food! We had the set menu and couldn't believe it just kept on coming. And so tasty! Really down to earth but incredible, rustic flavours. Incredibly good value, friendly and relaxed service. Can't recommend it enough.

I’m not sure why this restaurant isn’t better rated - the food is delicious and great value. We went twice and had the land and sea menus. Personally I prefer the land menu but both were very tasty and a great way of trying a number of local dishes. Service can be understandably slow when it’s very busy with people queuing outside but not problematic. If you are going to choose the land menu - bring your appetite because there’s a LOT of food!

We had 2 set menus “Land” and “Sea”, 30€ and 40€, including a set of mini starters, 2 main dishes and a panna cotta dessert, service charge included, drinks not. Good price for value, very big portions in the Land menu. We were stuffed by the time we finished the starters :) Definitely recommend to come here after a whole day of starving, so you can finish most of it.

We've been in Tinchite twice.
First time we really enjoyed. Service was quick even there was quite busy. The food was delicious. Especialy pasta A Taianu. Meat in pasta was melting in our mouth. For starter I reccommend Cacio all'argentiera. It's delicious grilled cheese.
For drink we had a big carafe of house wine which was again very tasty.
We were sitting outside in narrow sicilian street, it was very hot there but great atmosphere. Second time we were slightly dissappointed with the service. It was less busy and we were waiting for food for ages. Otherwise I really reccommend to visit this restaurant with proper sicilian food.
