Trattoria N'Da Calata

I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the penne siciliana. It exceeded my expectations with its rich flavor, impeccable texture, and overall deliciousness. I would definitely order it again and highly recommend it to pasta lovers. TOP hats off chef 🙌🙌

This place was an absolute blast. I enjoyed every night I got to spend here. The food made me feel like I was a kid again with my own Nonna and Mother making this food for me. And there is variety for everyone! I loved the atmosphere as well as it never felt empty it was always full of life. I loved how the staff was always interacting with you and it didn’t feel forced or awkward. If you’re looking for a place that is great for family and some of the best food you ever had I would 10000% recommend here.

What a nice family holiday dinner, we enjoyed it quite a lot. We had an assortment of starters followed by Tagliatta and Insalta de la Nonna. Very well metched with local red wine. For sure when we are around we will return back. Overall we can only command!

Great place to dine wine was great, the beef strips and beef taglliata was to die for. I also largely recommend the insalate de la Nona. The whole atmosphere,service and food were amazing. Large recommendation from me

What a gorgeous place! Beautiful restaurant with parking and a view. Service was fantastic with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food....wow! Delicious! We had speck and eggplant rolls and sauteed porcini as starters. For mains we took house pasta which was with pistachio, sausage and porcini and a pasta a la norma. Both were so good and despite being already a little full we finished both plates. Portion sizes are generous and price is very fair. Definitely worth a stop after visiting Etna.

A little drive and if you take the Google map directions of 11 minutes through the town be warned the track is one car wide and full of crater like pot holes. The better is the drive in from the top.

The service was brilliant from start to finish. Our Italian is limited and the gent’s English limited but that didn’t hinder either of us and he made it such a nice experience. Top service from him and our waitress. They where both really attentive.

The food was the best we had on our stay here. Full of flavour and freshness.
The pistachio ravioli was beautiful along with the desserts.

We went here based on the great reviews and We did well. The Trattoria Is out of the way, but locals know it well and go here. We had Caponata, Veal on oranges and locals wine. All was excellent. Pleasant atmosphere, great service.

Good service, fantastic food, very VERY fair prices, which is rare in the region. They were very understanding about my no gluten request, even made me a fruit bowl so I could have some dessert even though there was no gluten free option on the menu. I had a gluten free pasta with porcini, so simple but so full of taste, absolutely delicious. My partner had pasta with ragù - also great portion and really tasty as well. House wine was tasty and very inexpensive. Beware though that the parking space is very small, but you might be able to park outside on the side of the road.

Can absolutely guarantee any of the negative review here are from ignorant entitled tourists with no interest in trying to engage in Italian or with Sicilian food culture. This place is amazing, authentic and totally devoid of pretension. Thankyou very much it was fantastic and we will be back.

Amazing ambiance with a fantastic view of Mt Etna. The restaurant is located out of nowhere and it truly gives tranquility and charm. Food and service was great.

Experienced the warmest and friendliest service among our trip at Trattoria N'Da Calata. Food was very delicious, big portion and very reasonable pricing.

(Weekday lunch) The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and manned by friendly, attentive staff. They were particularly accomodating to my pregnant wife and her needs. The fried tuma cheese starter was delicious, while the caponata had us licking the plate! It was the best caponata we've had so far! The veal fillet was perfectly cooked, and covered in a delectable porcini mushroom sauce. While the sauce and mushrooms had a strong flavor, the fillet was thick enough (and not drowning in sauce) to still enjoy the taste of the meat itself. Bravissimi, non vedo l'ora di tornare!

The "Trattoria N'Da Calata" is an old traditional restaurant located on the gentle panoramic slope in the Etna Park. It is also by far the best place for families and friends to spend a nice and quiet evening eating delicious local food.
I had the opportunity to go there to celebrate my birthday and I had a wonderful time.
The restaurant has a parking space and as you enter the place you are welcomed by a familiar and cosy atmosphere.
In the summer they have a wonderful terrace where you can have your meal.
There is some soft background music.

Regarding the food, they offer a variety of local food and delicacies, they also have desserts in the menú.
Slightly disappointing though, was the lighting system, too bright to me.
The service is fast, accurate and friendly.
I have no hesitation in recommending going to this restaurant. Judging on the taste of the dishes, I would give it 5 stars!
As for the price it's not an expensive place to have your best dinner.

Incredible place! The owner Salvatore was very kind and treated us like family . The ambiance is very authentic and the food was amazing . Highly recommended ! We came here from New York with 14 people and it was our favorite place on our trip. We truly enjoyed the Capanata as an appetizer, the pasta with the eggplant , the ricotta mushroom , and the pistachio ravioli.

Amazing authentic place in the mountain! I recommend the ricotta pancake, the mushroom bruschetta, and the pistachio ravioli. The portions are really big so don’t order too much :)

Out of the way, and initial impressions suggested that it might be a tourist trap (I'm talking about you, La Tagliatelle in Positano). However, it warms up later in the evening with locals. The food is very good, and great for the price. Caserecce n'da calata was great in a hearty rustic way. 4 cheeses pizza as good as Rome. Rabbit cacciotore

We arrived 15 minutes before closing time and they were very kind to accommodate us without ever rushing us. The food was amazing. Could not recommend enough!

Very tasty local restaurant, recommended by the winery we've been to, best lunch ever. We started by sharing several dishes as recommended by the waiter, then the house pasta (amazing!), rabbit, veal schnitzel, casarece Norma (eggplant with tomato sauce), and more. Everybody was happy.
