Taverna La Cialoma

An iconic location! This restaurant just stands out with its colorful chairs and many beautiful flowers. It is tastefully decorated. The terrace at the back overlooking the sea is just stunning and very private. The staff were friendly. I had the tuna pasta which was very tasty, my husband had the grilled tuna with onions and a tomato salad. The tuna steak was extraordinary! A must visit when in Marzamemi

Beautiful meal in a gorgeous setting. Be sure to ask for the patio at the back so you have a glorious sea view while eating some of the freshest fish in the area, which by the way so cute and picturesque and worth a gander. Every dish was fabulous. We had the tuna and orange salad to start - sublime, so simple, but packs a serious flavor punch. Then the fresh spaghetti with anchovy, fennel, raisins and other lovely things. Plus the grilled local fish. This is lunch in the Mediterranean done perfectly. Excellent cooking, great produce, by the sea. You will be very happy if you eat here.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in Marzamemi and it was an unforgettable experience! The location was great, with beautiful views to the ocean that added to the overall atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The owner was particularly awesome, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The food was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of Siciliaan dishes to choose from. It's no wonder this restaurant is so popular and a trending spot - you might even get to rub elbows with some celebrities! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting South East of Sicily.

A great variety of seafood influenced selections as well as fresh seafood itself. We asked to see the fish of the day and they showed us a platter with at least 4 varieties, very fresh. Beautiful outdoor patio on the square with shade umbrellas.

We found the beautiful restaurant just by accident when walking across the main square in Marzamemi. The staff is just excellent, very friendly and attentive! The food was just delicious, simple but full of flavors. Probably not the cheapest spot but definitely worth the price!

Really loved my lunch here. Firstly, the setting is just gorgeous. All the details, from the flower pots to the paint- superb. Menu is very simple but everything is done well. I had the fried anchovies which were fantastic, and the fusilli with tomato and almond pesto. Highly recommend this spot. If you can sit ocean side even better!

I was skeptical after reading all the negative reviews. I could have missed out on such a wonderful experience!!

1) Service is not fast pace, we’re in Italy and we’re on vacation. Don’t expect it. Stop giving low scores based on slow service. Timing of the food coming out was great! Our waitstaff was amazinggg, gave wonderful suggestions like the local bottle of wine and it paired perfectly with all the food. Incredible!

2) You MUST GET TUNA! Marzamemi is a fishing village and they fish for RED TUNA! That’s what those boats in the marina do.

3) They definitely deserve the Michelin nod. The wine list was fantastic and the food was out of this world. We noticed the menu changed from other reviews.

4) I noticed some of the pics in the reviews, they were posting the wrong restaurant. This is the restaurant that is in the square, the center. Not on the sea. 🤦🏻‍♀

We ordered marinated red tuna with beet cream and cucumber, pasta with tuna ragu, pasta with sardine, grouper fish with tomato and capers, tomato salad.

Excellent service and price is equal to quality of the food. The location is the best square to eat in all of Marzamemi. The seafood is all fresh and very well prepared. Can’t go wrong here. The fish soup was a knockout.

Delicious food, excellent service and the Best of all, the place! The tables on the front of the taverna, at the site of the square are lovely but the terrace at the side of the sea is absolutelly wonderful!

One of the best meals I have ever had. Amazing location on the sea side and near the Vecchia Tonnara. The meals were tasty and delicate. Staff was kind and friendly. Prices are all worth it. Definitely come here on a date night!

One of the prettiest patios I have ever been to. The food and wine was delish as well. Felt like we in a movie scene while eating here.

Michelin guide restaurant in a beautiful location, what’s not to like. Can either sit in the historic square which is lovely or sit pit at the back over the sea which is even more beautiful. Specialising in seafood, food is amazing and drinks menu comprehensive. Staff are very polite and attentive. While not cheap, it is reasonably priced for the quality of food and service.

We had two plates of pasta and an orange salad. Very filling, very buttery, very rich, very fine tastes that went great together with the interior of the restaurant. Classy place! Wish I was more hungry when I was there!

Hans down the best meal I have ever had. This is a must for any true lover of Sicilian food. Stop what you are doing and go there right now. You will thank me.

Both shrimp appetiser and octopus main were superb. We sat outside under the sun for lunch. I imagine if you came in the evening, during the summer, it would be a bit more lively. On a Monday in February it was rather quiet. Extensive local wine list.

We had the cheese selection to start with, it was amazing, afterwards I went for the daily fish, which was also amazing.

Staff was really helpful and helped me out open the fish!

Wonderful location and some of the best fish I have ever eaten. Nice selection of wines as well. It's a busy restaurant even with covid.but that does't spoil things.
