Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni

We drove from Venice and loved the scenery. It was a bit crazy to drive through the narrow path where all shops and tourists walking around.
The hotel room was spacious, clean modern bathroom, and beautiful lake view swimming pool.
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant faced on the lake, and food was ok.
I loved their breakfast, beautiful dinning room where they offered so much options, pastries, drinks, fruits, and hot cold foods.
I wish I could stay longer to explore more.

Wedding photographer's perspective: We've shot here a couple of intimate weddings and it has always been a beautiful experience. The interiors are perfect for elegant photographs and the views are simply jaw-dropping. There are many areas that can be used for small wedding ceremonies and portaits. Bonus: it is a must if you want couple photos without people around you in Bellagio. The hotel is also located in a very strategical area of the lake, super close to the major venues. 10/10!!

Breath taking views! Opt for a room with lake view, you will not regret it. Staff were helpful and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was great as well as the outdoor cafe on the grounds. Very peaceful place in Bellagio

This was a wonderful hotel and for the most part the staff was nice. The fitness center is one of the best I have seen but it is at the top of the hill and hard to get to. Breakfast was in the former ballroom and was an amazing room. A full buffet. I counted 10 waiters and they took great care of you. We took a private boat ride and it was great.

On complaint.. the hotel was not fully booked but they gave us a less than premium view. Also I asked for a 1 hour late checkout and I knew when they asked my room number and they found out I made the booking on booking.com they said no. I know they were not busy.

Driving there is a real problem. I recommend driving on the other side and taking the ferry over.

We ate all of our meals in the downstairs restaurant. It was wonderful and at night we sat in the lobby and listen to a piano player.

Just a very lovely place to spend some time. Excellent service, wonderful room we had a lake view suite.

I would recommend at least one night to indulge in the 7 course tasting menu at the main restaurant. It was innovative and delicious. Excellent service with good wine recommendations.

One of the best hotels and vacations we've experienced! Nothing beats the location, service and view of Villa Serbelloni. It is worth every penny. I never mention staff names in my reviews but we were there for 4 nights in July and Simone made us feel like family. All of the staff is kind and helpful but Simone's hospitality was unlike anything we've experienced. We will definitely be coming back next summer!

Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni is an absolute dream come true, and I had the immense pleasure of celebrating my wedding weekend there. The entire experience was nothing short of magical.

The wedding planning process, led by Giulia and Nicoletta, was a testament to their professionalism. Over the course of a year, our communications were seamless, and they ensured that everything was in place for our special day. Their dedication paid off, as our wedding day was absolutely perfect.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and got to know the wonderful staff who are a crucial part of what makes this establishment truly exceptional. Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni is undeniably one of the best five-star hotels I've ever had the privilege of staying at.

The lounge area became a cherished spot for us, where we'd gather before and after dinner and late into the night for drinks. The cocktail menu is extensive, and the cocktails themselves are divine. Our first dinner on the terrace, overlooking the stunning view, featured lasagna that was out of this world, and the staff made the experience even more delightful.

The concierge team and front desk team were incredibly helpful, assisting us in arranging boat rides and car rides, which added a layer of convenience to our stay. They even managed professional dry cleaning for our wedding outfits, ensuring quick and efficient service.

The wedding day itself was like something out of a fairytale. From the first look on the gorgeous stairs to the boat ride around the lake for photos, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception dinner, everything was executed to perfection. The food was exquisite, leaving our guests and us thoroughly impressed.

Our stay also included a memorable lunch at La Goletta, where the cuisine was as delicious as it was picturesque. The beach area offered a relaxing escape, complete with a diving board in the lake. We indulged in massages at the spa, including a candles and champagne couples massage, a lovely experience I highly recommend.

We also ordered room service and they delivered with speed. Their Wagyu burger with fries is so good that my husband ordered it twice during our stay!

Our room was incredibly comfortable, with a fantastic bed, firm pillows, and breathtaking views of the lake. As guests of the hotel, breakfast was included and was a true feast, offering a buffet style spread with a plethora of delicious options.

The staff, from top to bottom, were truly remarkable. They made me feel welcomed and special, especially as a bride. We initially planned to stay for 4 nights but couldn't bear to leave, so we extended our stay to 5 nights. Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we're eagerly awaiting the opportunity to return, whether to celebrate an anniversary or perhaps another friend's wedding. This experience will be a cherished core memory for the rest of my life.

This was our first luxury 5 star hotel and the second hotel of our honeymoon in Italy. It was absolutely incredible. The service was superb, even after leaving the hotel (I forgot some items in the room and they helped me arrange to have them shipped to our last hotel on our trip). The Mistral Restaurant was incredible and the cherry on top has to be the adjoining room which provides a pianist late into the evening. However the stand out piece for me was the breakfast buffet served in the ballroom.

Absolutely fabulous. We are a family with two small children, and the hotel is perfect for us. They set up the suite really thoughtfully with two twin beds in the first room for the boys. There is a king in the bedroom for the parents, and all around plenty of space in the suite to spread out. All the beds are super comfortable (very firm). Lovely, relatively large bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower. The hotel is so thoughtful in every detail, they even left child-sized robes and slippers for the children. I have never seen that anywhere, even at the many different Ritzes we have stayed at which are known to be very child-oriented. Our boys are thrilled with the indoor pool which is pirate-themed and has a water slide and waterfall.

The spaces for adults are on point too. The outdoor pool is beautiful. We love the bar with its namesake spritz. Live piano in the evenings for cocktails and dessert. Service all friendly and welcoming. Good restaurants with a nice variety of options. Plenty of chairs at the beach and pool, and everything quiet and peaceful—no poolside DJ or loud club music, which we hate and is ubiquitous these days at many resorts. All in all, a great choice for families and couples alike.

The grand hotel villa serbelloni lives up to the hype! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, helping us to arrange everything from boats to dinners to travel. Having the hotel as a refuge during the afternoons was very important to us. We could escape from the crowds of bellagio or other towns to the beautiful pool and beach areas, where we could enjoy a drink and never had a problem getting a good chair or spot. There were many events going on throughout our stay - weddings, photo shoots, etc, but it never impacted our experience. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we’d love to come back!

A Blissful Family Retreat at The Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni

We recently had the pleasure of spending five unforgettable nights at The Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni in August, as a family of three with our twelve-year-old son. Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary.

From the moment we stepped into our Deluxe room with a breathtaking lake view, we knew we were in for something special. The room was beautifully appointed, exuding an air of elegance and comfort that instantly put us at ease.

The staff at The Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni truly set it apart. Their professionalism, helpfulness, and unwavering politeness made every interaction a pleasure. Whether it was a friendly greeting in the hallway or a thoughtful recommendation for exploring the area, their attention to detail did not go unnoticed.

One of the culinary highlights of our stay was the exquisite 7-course tasting menu at Mistral Restaurant. Each course was a masterpiece, but what truly stole the show was the ice cream made with liquid nitrogen at our table. This unexpected and delightful touch was a hit with our son, leaving him wide-eyed and amazed.

The setting of the hotel and the pool area is simply unparalleled. Surrounded by the majestic beauty of the lake and the lush greenery, it felt like a slice of paradise. Every moment spent by the pool was a feast for the eyes, with views that could inspire poetry.

I have stayed in many outstanding hotels over my extensive travels, and I must say the Villa Serbelloni is in the top five. It is an old world experience with all the modern amenities. The Hotel staff was outstanding, well dressed, polite, friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning. We toured throughout the day so we did not partake of the pool or beach. We had our happy hour on the upper patio facing the Lake in the late afternoons. The staff serving us on the patio were amazing. We enjoyed coming back from dinner and relaxing while listening to the piano player in the salon. If we ever return to Lake Como, we will definitely be back to the Villa Serbelloni.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location, and great service. My boys loved the pool and it was such a memorable experience swimming out to the diving board in the lake. The staff were wonderful to my family. We enjoyed having drinks at the pool and swimming after a day of exploring. We also enjoyed relaxing at the bar area at night with the live music. Such a great hotel.

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in Italy, where we honeymooned but we wanted to visit Lake Como and try a new place in Italy for this trip. Our college-age, younger son came with us. Based on TripAdvisor recommendations we booked a lovely room at Villa Serbelloni with a view of the lake. The hotel was most accommodating as we asked questions prior to arrival. Upon our arrival, the hotel had a bucket of prosecco chilling in the room with a sweet anniversary message. The Concierge booked dinner reservations for us in town, helped us book reservations at La Golleta (the hotel's poolside restaurant) and helped us coordinate with Matteo our boat driver on the day of the boat ride (on a private, wooden boat).

We are huge Italian/European fans. We have been to Italy and Europe many times. However, this hotel is by far our new favorite. All three of us feel the same way.

The location in Bellagio and on Lake Como is superb. The lake is beautiful and the mountains majestically provide a stunning backdrop, especially at sunset. The hotel itself is large and grand, but it also feels "cozy." We loved the sandy "beach" with abundant amounts of lounge chairs and umbrellas, surrounded by palm trees. It was a real Caribbean vibe in Italy. We spent time every day at "the beach" and my son enjoying diving off the platform on the lake. Another perk of the hotel are the gym facilities. They are excellent and we all used the gym daily.

Our room was spacious, elegant, clean and very pretty. I honestly felt like I was on a movie set and Sophia Loren was going to walk out at any moment. The room where they host breakfast every morning must have been a ballroom because it is the most beautiful venue, tables with white table cloths, wait staff available to take your finished plates or help with any need you may have. Freshly squeezed orange juice (a family favorite) prosecco, and an abundant array of any food, juice or fruit you could imagine. The coffees were delicious.

While we did not eat at La Mistral, we did have a lunch and a dinner at La Goletta. The lovely restaurant is located outside, near the pool. On our last night (we stayed 4 nights) we had dinner at La Goletta and the sunset view was simply breathtaking. The food was delicious and a bit more elegant than many of the restaurants in town.

Basically, everything you really need is right there. We enjoyed the little "bubble" we were in at Villa Serbelloni and short of walks through town and the boat ride, we decided to spend our 4 days on the hotel grounds, soaking up the beauty of the property and enjoying the amenities.

I must give a shoutout to Gabrielle who kindly took a family photo of us one night as we walked by the guard stand. It just might end up on our holiday card! And Matteo our boat driver was so knowledgeable and kind. We had the boat all to ourselves. The boat tour was the icing on cake and we are grateful to the hotel for helping us arrange it. I only wish we could remember everyone's name who helped us at the Concierge desk, the billing office upon checkout, they gym and the warm and friendly staff working in the breakfast room. They all deserve a round of applause!

My husband and I will return again soon. And honestly, we hope we can return with both of our sons on future trips and make more family memories for years to come in a place that truly touches your soul.

As far as hotels go, old grand dames can sometimes feel more old than grand. Not here, I assure you. The location, of course, need not be mentioned but the hotel is a place where time seemingly stands still. It is just so pleasant. The people, the service, the family-friendliness, it is a place to come back to again and again. Bring a book, order a Spritz Serbelloni and forget what day it is

The apex of luxury hotels is the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. Every detail of our stay was attended to. From check-in to check-out, it was an absolute pleasure throughout our entire stay. The rooms have the smallest amenities included to make sure guests are comfortable. There is not enough time for me to accurately portray how beautiful and well maintained the grounds are, so I will post pictures. The garden is a visual experience that must be experienced in person to truly appreciate its beauty. The high-end dinner tasting menu was a true culinary delight and was a feast for all the senses. The concierge went out of their way to accommodate our last-minute requests. A memorable stay that we can not wait to repeat. 5 stars is not enough for a hotel of this caliber.

I love to travel and there are hotels or places that always stand out in your memory and GHVS and Bellagio will be one of them. I arrived stressed out from traveling from Venice on the train and ferry and Angelo and Elena were so kind and patient with me. My room was beautiful as was the lake view. Luca the concierge was also a favorite. As an interior designer I was there to see as many of the villas as I could fit in and my favorite part of the day was coming back and lying on the beach in the late afternoon with a spritz and watching the perfect pre dusk light bounce across the lake. I’ve never felt more Italian! The breakfasts were amazing as was the dining room itself. It truly feels like step back in time in the most modern and luxurious of ways all at the same time. Also so convenient to the ferries and water taxis and walking around Bellagio. Look forward to returning again!

Best hotel I’ve had the privilege to stay in. Amazing staff, beautiful rooms, so much to do on property and conveniently located next to everything but far enough away, there is no noise! Breathtaking views, wonderful food, amazing pool and access to lake dock and diving board. Very relaxing!

My wife and I visited the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni , Bellagio, on Friday the 24th of June (2023). What a refreshing experience. What exactly do I mean?? Well, it would seem that cafes, restaurants and other eateries have a policy of NOT permitting you to come in and just have a coffee or a refreshing cold drink around lunchtime. Their policy seems to be that you can only sit at a table if you are going to be eating. This is so pretentious as often the whole cafe or restaurant was empty. NOT so with the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. They were so welcoming and friendly. The Maitre’ d, a very smiley man,
showed us to our table, outside under a Marquee, and a very friendly , (again), smiley girl took our order. We only ordered coffees ,sparkling water and a cocktail but we were given a large bowl of crisps ( if you are American, a large bowl of potato chips), a bowl of Olives and one of Almonds. The hotel is truly beautiful. We didn’t stay there but we did have a look inside and it is superb, opulent and beautiful in every way.
