The one and only Bellagio! The beauty. The grace. The ambiance. The stores. The restaurants. The local people. The scenery. The wonderful smells. The food. The pastries. The streets. The architect. The lake. Nothing compares! You can not visit and truly experience Italy without paying a visit to Lago Di Como Bellagio!! 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 Truly MAGNIFICENT.

Passenger ferry station not the car ferry station, which is 2 mins away.

You can purchase tickets online or via the kiosk. We went in the morning, albeit in the “early season”, and didn’t have an issue with queues.

Lovely view whilst you wait for your ferry. There are a few “platform” which are sign posted and a digital screen updates you on the destination and the platform.

9€ return to Lenno. Our ferry arrived within 10mins of the departure time.

Such a convenience to have the ferry available to get around Lake Como. We took the car once and went by foot a few trips. Easy to buy tickets and navigate the schedule. They seem to do a great job of keeping the schedule on time as well. Plenty of areas above ferry to sit and keep warm if it's a windy day.

Lovely town.
45 mins of boat ride from Como.
Many restaurants on steep slopes, dining on steps.

This was the most beautiful "mundane" public transportation experience I have ever seen. The ferry has several stops and is very slow paced so with a tour guide, you can really enjoy the views. Even without a guided tour, the views are so incredible and awe-inspiring that a few hours on the ferry is very therapeutic. Highly recommended for a more relaxed and laid back take on Lake Como.

Very nice place by the lake. A lot of benches to enjoy the warm sun and listen to the harmonic sounds of birds from the lake. The calming sound of the boats hitting the water and the Italian finesse gives you a very nice calming environment.
The place also has information everywhere about the fast boats that can take you to, for example, Varenna, Commo and many more!
Definetely a nice area to stay while waiting for your boat.

Breathtaking place a must visit just for 10 euro / 1:30 h trip (or the express option is 15 euro / 45 minutes) with a boat from Como (or any other city on the Lake Come). The views from the boat trip are very nice if are lucky to get the weather nice.

With its unique location, Bellagio is one of the most (if not THE most) famous town on Lake Como. Bellagio sits at the tip of the Larian Triangle, which is a mass of land that juts out into the lake where Lake Como bifurcate into two branches: One that ends with the city of Lecco, The other ends with the the city Of Como.
From this location and facing north, Bellagio provides a stunning view of the lake and the Italian Alps in the background.
The town itself is picturesque with a beautiful water front rife with cafes and restaurants (At lunch time during the high season you can hardly find a free table)
The going up stairs will lead you to upper part of the town where the shopping area is located, and where you can find more cafes and restaurants.
Bellagio boasts one of the nicest expensive hotels on lake Como: Villa Serbelloni, built in the 15th century before it was turned into a Luxury hotel in 1905.
You can reach Bellagio by land, but needless to say that the best way to get to Bellagio is by taking a ferryboat (Town of Varenna has the most frequented service) because as the boat maneuvers to get to Bellagio's port, the town emerges slowly from behind a green hill, slowly, revealing its charm.

The Bellagio is one of those places that you MUST VISIT when in Como. You can go here via the ferry boat from Como through the Lake Como. The buildings are are beautifully painted with different pastel colours, that matched the flowers from the garden. We went during spring and its a bit cold, but the flowers started blooming and greeting every visitor with their beautiful form.

From Bellagio you can see the Lake Como in all directions. It is particularly spectacular to see the morning light on the Alps, when looking in the north direction. A ride on the ferries are nice, but just sitting at the several coffee places by the ferries is also nice. Walk up the stairs and visit the Church and chat with the local ladies at the local shops: they are fun to talk to, they tell many stories, and speak reasonable English.

A picturesque town situated on the shore of Lake Como, it was originally known as Biliacus. Over the centuries, this region was ruled by various Italian noble families, including the Visconti and the Sfondrati. Now it is renowned for its charming views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains, and is often referred to as “Pearl of Lake Como”. Should buy tickets in advance.

Take the train to Varenna and the ferry to Bellagio, skip the traffic and parking headaches. Plus the views from the quick ferry ride are breathtaking. We went from Bergamo to Bellagio, in a little over an hour by train and ferry for 23 euro per person. Google maps public transportation was spot on.

Quick steady and convenient service, it departs (summer) every 30 min or less on pick hours... it’s less frequent after 8 but the last one is at around 11. Anyway the wait is not bad... you have beautiful Como lake to look at
