Villa Giade

Hello, I strongly recommend this beautiful place, staff and owners. Yes, it is one of the best places in the city of Chiavenna, a clean and spacious room and suitable prices near Lake Como. I enjoyed the hospitality and excellent performance.

Great in-town location with amazing views and wonderful owners and staff. Everything is clean, comfortable and inviting. We ate dinner one night at the hotel and wished we had had all our dinners there. The food is gourmet like no other, a true culinary experience. And, their wine list is massive with top-notch selections. Dining here for dinner is a must!

Might be the most beautiful location for a hotel I've ever been. Abutting an ancient roman military post with views of the surrounding river and mountains you'd be hard pressed to find a nicer location. Chiavenna is also an incredible town with rich history and delicious food.

High standard of room, great restaurant, good wine list. Quite pleasant to be able to retire to room from a nice meal.

A wonderful hotel with great location near older part of town. Convenient free parking nearby. Rooms inviting, very clean and modern. Hosts are superb!
Breakfast and dinner a real treat, and the wine choices are impressive.

Excellent accommodation and restaurant in picturesque, tranquil surrounds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a beautifully renovated room and the generous daily breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant is a must, the food and service were impeccable! Thank you Villa Giade for a wonderful stay!

What should I say - Villa Giade is a highlight in many ways... We were there in June and loved the familiar atmosphere and great service. Rooms are exceptional clean and well designed, a place to relax, ... and UNbelievable great food. Honestly, everything was great, but dinner was the highlight in many ways. The food is convincing through  a bouquet of tastes - fresh cheecky lemon, traditional herbal notes, light bitterness, shy sweetness, umami en masse ... combined with many different solid states - silky foam, crunchy accents, melting bits, ... Everything arranged beautiful on your plate. We can highly recommend villa Giade!

The experience here is top of the barrel for the price, food quality and ambiance.
The place is cheaper than eating at home in switzerland.
The only two complaints for me would be; 1. The bathrooms 2. The Opening times themselves (they arent good for transit).

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. The apartment was fantastic, clean and just refurbished. The food was an incredible surprise. It was the best food we had on our Italian trip by a very long way. The restaurant was very nice with great attention to detail. My wife and I will make this place in Chiavenna the reason for any more trips to Italy. The hospitality we received from the family running this wonderful establishment was just the very best.

Beautifully renovated and perfectly clean rooms, creative and *incredibly* good food at the lovely garden terrace, excellent wine selection, kind, helpful, professional and always cheerful staff, fantastic breakfast, great location. I can definitely recommend this place.
(The only minor issue i had was the piano arrangement of pop songs repeatedly played at the restaurant)

Wonderful place, with excellent food, a very nice chef and a spectacular view from the garden. I have enjoyed my stay here very much and I will definitely come back whenever I am in Italy again!

A friend had her wedding here and rented the rooms out for a week. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing.

What an incredible gem - food, drinks, service are all incredible and totally unexpected given the “rather modest”-standard of the region. Stay here to explore the region, eat here to enjoy your time off the mountains - rather a day longer than shorter.

Discovered this B&B + restaurant by accident on a stroll through the city center. The service is super friendly, the food a joy to the eyes and to the palate, the dining room both homely and modern - in short a wonderfully memorable experience.

Had the daily menu with 4 course wine pairing. Very good and a fun experience.
