Ristorante Crotasc

Such a wonderful restaurant in such a beautiful place!
We came to this restaurant from San Francisco, USA. We tried the restaurant twice. We heard about this restaurant in San Francisco and we had dreamed of coming here for a while. So we travelled to Mese and stayed there for 3 nights. Everything about this restaurant was great! The food with local ingredients was scrumptious. Wine from the owner family was delicious as well. The rustic decor was cool. The service was excellent. Our servers are very friendly and cheerful.
We will come back again some day.
Until then, we’ll miss you all!

Only stopped for lunch on the way through - it was wonderful. I really want to come back for dinner! Lot‘s of interesting dishes on the menu - both classics and modern creations.
The Polpo salad was fresh and delicious and the Parmigiana was one of the best I ever had.

Amazing restaurant. One of the friendliest staff combined with succulent food. Highly recommend the traditional menu (that includes the amazing pizzoccheri starter). The ambiance is lovely too.

This place is just great, the tour of the facility and the cellar where they keep all their old wine along with the explanation behind it was a nice introduction. The variety of wine served at the table along with the charcuterie and the pasta was all of superior quality. Definitely worth while when you are in the area, sit inside or outside on the terrace for an exquisite view!

A friend of mine, who is blessed enough to live in the neighboring valley, took us to this place. So I suspect some of the warmth of the welcoming we have received was actually aimed at my friend, but , nevertheless, we have had a truly magnificent meal there. We have enjoyed the very best the area has to offer, and God know Sondria is a paradise for good food. The produces are pure jewels of taste. From delicately cured meat to matured cheeses, to locally grown wine, it has been a feast for our tastebuds.
I have drunk the best Grappa ever!
I have discussed cheerfully with native Italians who only speak Italian, which I don't, but we have connected over food and wine nevertheless.
S, if you are in the area, the worst thing you can do is missing this place. They even have a charger for electric cars! so no excuse!

Fantastic local food, quiet, cozy and romantic place, excellent staff. A real pleasure to come and visit from time to time. Be aware that the plates are big, so try to skip a meal before you visit!

Simply one of my favorite restaurants in the world. The last time I was in the area....I was driving from Milan up to Lugano at around lunch time. My plan was to have lunch at Ristorante Crotasc, and have some pizza later for dinner after getting back to Lugano. I ended up with a six-course autumn menu. Mind-blowingly exquisite. Let's just say I skipped dinner that evening (wasn't even necessary), and I'm pretty sure I didn't require breakfast the next day. I never miss this place when I'm in the area.

Rustico ristorante con una bella vista e piatti decisamente buoni. Ho presso i tradizionali pizzoccheri alla valtellinese e i gnocchetti con burro e salvia. Veramente buoni.

Il servizio buono, il cibo ottimo (hanno anche su richiesta opzioni per celiaci) e a prezzi abbastanza in regola. Hanno una offerta di vini buoni in quanto sono loro anche produttori; fanno addirittura sotto degustazioni dei loro prodotti.

Ottima esperienza recentissima: atmosfera sommessa in locali tenuti con sapiente gusto, menù eccellente e proposta di vini all'altezza dell'enoteca sottostante. Abbiamo cenato nel vecchio crotto con camino scoppiettante dopo giornate di pioggia continua.
Anche questo particolare ci ha fatto sentire bene così come l'affabilita' della proprietaria. Il servizio perfetto e la qualità dei piatti rendono giustificata la determinazione a tornarci presto.

Ci vado da anni e riesce ancora a stupirmi. Cibo di alta qualità e vino eccellente.
Vi segnalo il violino di capra, i fantastici pizzoccheri e l'ultima volta mi hanno servito un capriolo in salmi' da paura.
Tutto innaffiato da un buon inferno di Mamete Prevostini.

Beh cosa dire il Crotasc è il Crotasc. Credo sia il miglior cerotto dove sia mai stato. È tutto perfetto. Servizio impeccabile, carta dei vini superba, ma poi mangiare sotto il porticato è davvero dolcissimo. Insomma una piacevolissima esperienza

Non abbiamo soggiornato, ma siamo stati lì una domenica a pranzo. Servizio ottimo, piatti della tradizione preparati in modo eccellente, ottima carta dei vini. Posto bellissimo nella bellissima zona di Chiavenna.

Accoglienza, professionalità ed accuratezza sia nei piatti che nel servizio fanno la differenza.
Ambiente ovattato ma non ingessato,
La famiglia gestisce questo gioiellino con cura e discrezione.

Nonostante si passi più raramente per andare a Madesimo, rimane nostra "chicca" preferita in zona.
